In addition to our 3 cozy cabins (1188460,1188477 and 1188484), the four-bedroom main house is now available for weekly rentals! The main house can comfortably sleep large families/groups of 8-12 guests. Features include: Four bedrooms Two full bathrooms Full kitchen with standard appliances and cooking utensils Two large family room/sitting areas, each with large sliding glass doors leading out to the deck and lower level Wrap-around porch/deck with beautiful lakefront views Rental comes with pontoon boat. There are 4 kayaks, 2 pedal boats, a row boat and a paddleboard for shared use. House also has docking space to bring your own boat. Gas grill for BBQs! Dining room seats 8, 4 stools in kitchen and table for 4 in attached living room area plus outdoor seating at patio table on porch. Spider Lake is a small all sports lake. GUESTS MUST BRING THEIR OWN SHEETS AND TOWELS.

We rented the place for 4 adults and 2 kids and the place was almost too big for us. The house was a bit outdated but very clean. The house came with a pontoon boat that could not be used for tubing, but we certainly enjoyed fishing and going swimming every single day that we were at the lake! When we had a problem with the boat, the owner quickly responded to our needs and gave us a replacement boat. There is a sandbar that is super close to the house so my little kids stayed in the water for hours. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed in the main house with different generations of family. The upstairs of the house was perfect for gathering together, outside or inside, cooking meals and eating together. The amenities of the pontoon boat, paddle boats and kayaks were perfect especially with the most popular shallow swimming island within a short distance from the home. Our kids (7,11,13) enjoyed the independence of kayaking or paddle boating to and around the island while we could watch from the deck. Kathleen was a helpful and gracious host. The only downside was the basement floor was a bit dark and felt a little more closed in, but since we only slept there and spent most our out time upstairs it wasn’t a big deal. Great memories.

Property was roomy for our group of 8 adults and 4 children age 7 and under. Lots of water toys provided including a pontoon boat. Location is right on a lovely lake with an island/sand bar in easy reach. Close to Traverse City for bars, restaurants etc. If I could make a suggestion to make it better i would ask to add laundry and maybe a dehumidifier for the lower level. All in all- a great place for a large family vacation!

We had a wonderful time at the Oaks Resort at Spider Lake. Kathleen and Tom, the owners, were great and made us feel so welcome and at ease. The lake house was great with a wonderful view of the lake. Our five grandchildren had a fabulous time swimming, fishing, and boating. The fishing was great right off of the dock! A great time was had by all, Grand parents, adult children and grand children. Thank you Kathleen and Tom!

We loved our stay . The house was so spacious and had everything we needed . Everyone enjoyed the boats and kayaks and the great sand dune right across the lake . Beautiful lake . Great family time and beautiful weather . Thanks Kathleen for helping us make memories to last a lifetime.

Happy to recommend this for any families. Great spot on the lake. Wonderful owners who only live a short distance away.
The house isn't fancy, it could use some lighting updates (the kitchen is not lit well enough for instance), but *tons* of things to do outside. I believe there are 4 boating options on the shore/dock.

Kathleen was great to communicate very quickly with us. She met us at the house with keys and pointers for using the place. We really enjoyed use of the pontoon, paddle boat, and kayaks. This property is right across from a little island that has public access for picnics and water volleyball in a large shallow water area. Great for water fun!

Excellent place for family vacation.
Kathryn is an amazing host. Quick to respond to texts. We had our family of 10 for the week. 6 adults and 4 grandkids. Kids enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat and paddle board. The pontoon is a great plus. Nice fishing off the dock. Our neighbors in the cabin next to us were very friendly and nice to visit with. Would highly recommend The Oaks Resort for a great vacation.

We had 6 adults and 6 young children. We fished, we boated, we swam, we played and played! It was soooo much fun! The house worked out so great - many rooms and sleeping possibilities. We plan to come back again next year!!!! We went to Sleeping Bear, we went into town, there's so much to do around there. The owners were very available and helplful, very friendly.

We had 6 adults and 6 young children. We fished, we boated, we swam, we played and played! It was soooo much fun! The house worked out so great - many rooms and sleeping possibilities. 12 nicely fit in this Spider Lake Getaway
We had 12 people stay at this home and the overall accommodations exceeded our expectations. The bathrooms were clean and everything worked well throughout the house. The kitchen was very nice and the view of the lake spectacular. When we come back to Spider lake this will be our first choice. Nice job and hats off to the owners.

Great week at Spider Lake!
Our family enjoyed our week at Spider Lake. Accommodations were great for our family-plenty of room. One drawback was that the lower level smelled musty. We noticed the lower level toilet was leaking a bit. We also noticed mice droppings in one of the lower level bedrooms. We enjoyed the pontoon boat, paddle board, kayaks and paddle boat. The hosts were very gracious-we would come back again!
