4th trip back to this cabin. Love this cabin! My best friend and I rent this cabin to scrapbook. Only time we see each other. Cabin layout great. Every trip had bear encounters. This trip took pictures from kitchen of bear working its way up the deck and to the grill. Great picture of bear standing at the grill.

Overall, we had a beautiful stay in this lovely cabin. Pros :Great views , porch & hot tub , plenty of space for us 3Cons: it would’ve made a big difference to kitchen area to have coffee and filters. Also, there was no cleaning solutions/wipes of any kind or sponges or brushes to use in kitchen area. All decor could use a good dusting or replacement. We were there 5 days and we cook so it would have been nice to have these things. I would say bring your own and also bring extra paper goods if you are there more than 3 days.

We arrived last Saturday. We weren't happy with the cabin we rented. The view wasn't great and the layout wasn't what we expected. After dinner I called and spoke with Dana. She understood and within an hour we were in Barefoot Memories. No penalty!!! We had the best stay yet!!! Thank you!

The cabin was everything we hoped for and more for celebrating our 30th anniversary! It is in a quiet location a little further from the parkway, which we loved, but still close enough to be in town in 20 minutes. It was very clean and the beds were SO comfortable! The couches in the living room were super comfortable too! The floor to ceiling windows showcase the view which was always changing due to low lying clouds and we spent so much time on the deck in the hot tub taking it all in! The fog and clouds lifted our last night giving us an incredible view of the stars that was so magical! The kitchen was well equipped with everything I needed for cooking. The maintenance staff were so helpful with quickly taking care of the few problems we had during our stay. This is our second stay with Elk Springs Resort and we will definitely be back! Our only downside was that the jacuzzi tub in the master bath had mold in the tubing so there were little flakes of black stuff that would come out when you used it. The maintenance staff tried cleaning it and we worked on it some more, but it may need the tubing replaced. Bearfoot Memories is a wonderful cabin that you will love staying in!

We have been to Gatlinburg many times over the last 43 years beginning with our honeymoon, and we always enjoy our time there. This trip was more of a last-minute thing as we had to travel to Alabama for some family business and decided to stop off for a quick break on our way home. Since we have stayed with Elk Springs in the past, it was an easy decision to trust their staff and our stay to one of their cabins. Once again, our experience was beyond our expectations.The cabin was clean and in perfect shape and the view was simply breathtaking. It was a little tough to find, since it was on a private road and the "Stop: Private Road" sign threw us off, but a text message to the office, even though it was after 6:00 P.M., cleared things up and we were able to get settled soon after.The staff at Elk Springs has always been easy to work with, and the easy Check-in and Check-out process makes things easy and secure.We only stayed 2 nights, but the process from finding a cabin to leaving the property at the end did help us relax a little on our way back home to "Normal". We can highly recommend Elk Springs Resorts and have many times.Thank you for another memorable trip. May God bless you all.

My wife & I and another couple spent 5 days at Bearfoot Memories cabin. The cabin was perfect for 2 couples. The views were unbelievable. We used the pool table , hot tub , and cable tv. We got to see bears on 3 different occasions. The main downside to the cabin is that it is located high on a mountain- hence the incredible views- but driving up and down the narrow road at night can be difficult. Also note that you will have to go shopping since only the bare necessities are provided. We highly recommend this cabin as long as you are okay with mountain drving

This was our 7th annual stay at Bearfoot Memories. Our honeymoon cabin is now our anniversary cabin. The views are AMAZING. The privacy of not being in the resort is a huge plus. Did I mention the views?!? My only complaint would be the mattress are horrible. My wife was up and down and even tried the couch and futon for comfort. In a cabin like this, that is a huge let down. That said, I will bring my own mattress to keep that mountain view!!!

We love this cabin. Stay here as often as we can. Gorgeous view; nicely kept; very secluded. Our only recommendation is to replace the MBR mattress. It’s worn down and uncomfortable unless you are right in the middle. Also, more variety of pillows. The ones there are pretty thick. Thank goodness we had our own. Other than that..... wonderful cabin! Already booked it for next spring!

This cabin was beautiful. Came with another couple and the two king suites were perfect. Both had jacuzzi tubs and king beds that were very comfortable. The cabin has all the amenities you could want. Kitchen was well appointed with dishes and cooking utensils and even bbq tools. Great loft with pool table and tv, fireplace and furnishings. We could not have been happier. The customer service was superior! The communication from Elk Springs people was great. Let us know when the cabin was ready, called us the day after we got there to make sure everything was ok. Even told us that we could stay an extra night because it was available. We will definitely be repeat customers !

Overall I would definitely recommend Bear Foot Memories. My only complaints were the size of the shower & size of the hot tub. Other than that it had a beautiful view (when the fog cleared), a lot of fun activities, close to restaurants and bars & great amenities.

Beautiful place. Not on top of another cabin had our own privacy and own private drive. Cabin was in great condition besides went to take a bath and relax and as soon as we turned on the jets in the jacuzzi black and brown stuff came out. We decided to just shower after that. Don’t get me wrong, the cabin itself is quite nice. Not as spacious as the photos make it seem. It is very small inside and a bit cramped. The bedrooms are about an awkward 3 feet apart from each across the hall. The wifi/internet is basically nonexistent. One does not usually have to worry about the internet connection when on vacation but at time work needs to be done, calls need to be made, and in an unknown area, you would like to be able to load directions before leaving the cabin. Attempted to take relaxing baths in the jacuzzi tubs but once the baths were filled and the jets turned on, a slew of black dirt, mold, and chunks spat out from the jets in both bath tubs. Absolutely disgusting. Lastly, do not book during winter! It snowed during our visit and when we left the cabin in the afternoon on our second night, we could not return to it. The road up the mountain was plowed but our driveway up to our cabin at the top has not been touched. With a steep incline, sharp turns, and no guardrails, it was impossible to make it up to our cabin with the road covered in snow and ice. We had to book a hotel for the remainder of our visit. All of the money paid for this cabin and they could not be bothered with snow removal for their guest. Would not book again nor recommend.

This cabin is absolutely breathtaking. It was extremely clean and super cozy. The Mountain View was unbelievable and customer service was extremely kind and professional. I checked in on 12/23/20. High winds were expected so I lost power late that evening. The power came back on early morning on 12/24/20. I enjoyed the day in downtown Gatlinburg and returned around 4:30pm. I knew there was a snow storm expected so I prepared. The power went out around 9pm. The power was on Christmas morning when I woke up but went out again at 11:45am and did not come back on until 3:00am 12/26/20. I spent Christmas bundled up by the fireplace so I could stay warm, without WiFi, a television and a stove. I had to sleep on the couch by the fireplace. It was freezing in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Needless to say, the views were beautiful but it was not my most memorable Christmas or maybe it was...lol. I checked out a day early, not wanting a repeat of those events, and informed customer service that the owner of that cabin should invest in a generator. Because of the on and off of the electricity, I had to discard the little food I had in the refrigerator. Besides that it is a beautiful cabin. Customer service was understanding and kind to partly reimburse me for the inconvenience. I would love to return after a generator is installed.
