The market hiking trail system in the area is amazing! We include maps at the house that will enable you to explore some pretty cool spots. The closest and probably the best in the area are within two miles of the house - Kaatterskill Falls (highest waterfall in the state), North Lake/South Lake (offers swimming, boat rentals i.e. kayaks, canoes, row boats, fishing and amazing hiking!), The Escarpment Trail, the former home of the Catskill Mountain House, an abandoned (but restored!) train station and more. Visit Hunter Mountain and try out their new ZIPLINE system, mountain bike down their trails (lift serve access) or enjoy a relaxing ride on their sky ride (chair lift). They also have a host of music concerts year round.
