Okay place for a short stay

As many people stated in their reviews, the place was old, but really well maintained. The host was very nice. The location is a bit of Saas Grund, but there is a bus stop just outside the hotel, so we just had to make sure to time ourselves correctly to get the bus into Saas Grund to change there or sometimes even go directly to Saas Fee from our hotel stop. Every person staying in the area and paying the tourist tax (included in the hotel fee here) gets the Saastaal card, which lets you travel on buses for free and gives some discounts on lifts, etc. It was Easter, and on Sunday everyone got a coloured egg and a chocolate bunny at breakfast, which was very sweet of them.

I think overall the place is not the best value for money. We booked fairly last moment and for Easter weekend, so there was not much choice left. We paid around 170CHF per night for 2 people. And I think for that money the rooms could be more renovated, or maybe there could be a bigger selection at breakfast. The breakfast was okay, selection not too big, no warm food options.

A nice easy family hotel with bus access to Saas-Fee

The owner of the hotel is extremely kind, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are older but that is expected for this hotel; they were clean and everything functioned well. Breakfast is good and generous and the hotel is quiet. We were looking for something basic, inexpensive and clean in high season and we got what we paid for. Be aware that to get to Saas-Fee you need to take a bus, sometimes with a change in the center of Saas-Grund, but the management can help with the schedule.

Superb

Great location and nice lovely place with great staff. Highly recommended for family stay. Only suggestion some help for pickup from station would be great addition otherwise nothing else to suggest. Great people and great location, loved the experience.

only difficult part was bus from station to hotel is bit tricky but that’s nothing to do with hotel. A pickup support would be very ideal.

Wonderful little place, will definitely return

Old-school charm, everything in good condition, friendly welcome, comfortable room, very close to the ski bus stop and delicious breakfast.

Great place to stay

The staff were very helpful and kind throughout the entire stay. Breakfast wasn't fancy but it had a good variety and tasty. The view from the balcony was also very beautiful. Will be staying there again.

The Hotel is located in an amazing area with many activities to do, great panoramic views to the glaciers.

Great area to visit, no planned in our trip, but glad we choose Hotel Adler.

One only inconvenience, there is a division by the bathroom door in our room that protrudes from the floor, and I hurt my feet when I stepped on it, please watch out for it.

The hotel is situated in a very quiet and nice place. The room and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was relly good. The hotel staff was very friendly and kind. Saa-Fee ski area is 10 min by car from the hotel. Very good quality-price rapport. I can recommend the hotel.

A really pleasant stay

The lady at the reception is really friendly and kind ready to help and give hints about the region any time. smiling and positiv. Value for money. We could use the bus for free and having an accomodation in the Saas region provides you the Saastalcard including some discounts for different activities. The hotel is simple and I would say old but really nice.

The only reason I rated 9 instead of 10 is because of the location of the Hotel. Near an old camping place which is not open any more and a bit out of Saas Grund (3') by car/bus giving you the impression of an old isolated almost industrial yard.

Fantastic!

My husband and I had the best experience at Hotel Adler. It was spotless, the staff were exceptional and we loved the location. Our room was perfect too, with comfortable beds and nice hot showers. We highly recommend this hotel and the bus links to the slopes are great. Thank you.

Friendly and cosy

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They were happy to provide local advice and look after a bag while I was out and about on the day of departure. Also the set three course meal (paid for separately) was excellent and the breakfast superb.

It’s a bit out of the way, however there is a bus stop with regular service directly outside, and there is also a pleasant 15 minute walk along the river to the centre of Saas-Grund.

Wonderful traditional Swiss hotel

The hotel is located in a beautiful Swiss valley close in Sass Grund. I booked a single room and was upgraded to a double for free! The accommodation is spotless and comfortable and the owners very welcoming. The food is excellent. The staff are excellent. The location is excellent. I highly recommend.

Saas Fee is great.

Traveling in the times of covid - meant I found myself at this empty hotel! Linda the manager was available each day and the quality of service even for 1 person was exactly what one would normally expect. She was very kind to help me organize my day on each day of the vacation. And very accommodating to all my requests.

I think the hotel went beyond my expectations and offered more than I could ask for. So I cannot complain about anything. Of course the hotel is in Saas Grund, so less expensive and less Sun. I spent most of my time up in the mountains so it was not a problem overall.

The Wi-Fi was not working well at the 4th floor (where my room was).
