Britannia bromsgrove

Loved the majority of staff very helpful apart from the odd restaurant staff who were the polar opposite and absolutely awful, especially at breakfast on 12th may

Breakfast staff. Decor is a little tired. Room was way too hot. Bed wasn't too comfortable. I was charged 3 times for just two electronic items for WiFi access

The reception area is where I stayed most of the evening

Bathrooms need urgent upgrade the rooms smell damp. I’m here every weeks for one night for the next year and currently stayed in 4 different rooms all with the same problem.

Not a lot to be honest, location possibly

Room dated and worn out. Smelly damp smell in bathroom. Old customer glass in corridor. No usb or mains socket near bed. A friend of mine joined me for a drink and didn’t see the sign and got a 60 parking fine ruined our friendship. Phone worked fine outside as soon as you get in no connection ( possibly a blocker being used forcing you to buy wifi) and even that didn’t work. Far too many security staff sitting around on sofas making the feel of the place uncomfortable. And you wouldn’t dare complain!

Lovely looking hotel with facilities. Over run with security felt like a prison entrance

Location food hotel staff excellent

Security thought they were working at a nightclub and not very helpful I wandered along another corridor and I'm sure it was asylum alley with all doors open and bins outside with a security guard in the corridor sat down 👀

Location was good.

The bed was so uncomfortable that both us and our friends had very little sleep. Everything else was ok but hard beds are really bad when you’ve got a king journey ahead.

very least want home comforts,even a bit more

bed shocking,worst nights sleep in hotel in years.breakfast went down at 8am next to nothing left had too ask for fresh eegs,thought i,d asked for something out of the unknown,coffee,awful, as for orange juice had stronger cordial not to mention it was all cold.what else can you say says it all ,no excuse for cold food !!

Receptionist was very friendly

I was told I'd been upgraded, which was a lovely surprise. However the room was very shabby. The handle to flush the toilet nearly came off and the toilet seat did actually come off. My room wasn't serviced during my stay

If the property was as good as the staff, this would be the Ritz.

Disabled room had a shower over the bath, which is ridiculous. I'm walking disabled and bad enough for me to get in the bath, how the hell would someone in a wheelchair get in the shower. Apparently the staff have to send a wheelchair disabled, to the leisure club, part of the hotel, to have a shower. How embarrassing for the disabled person. Anything more than walking disabled, don't stay here.

Receptionist guys were very rudd

The late night security staff were very polite and caring.

The reception staff were both rude and did not care about the hard time we were having at the hotel.

Enjoyable and would stay again.

Lovely hotel. Clear check in/check out with no issues. Friendly staff. Security on and visible. £5 charge for the car park. Good facilities inc comfortable lobby and bar area. Gym and pool facilities for a fee. Therapist there but only works set days unfortunately

Ahead of my arrival I emailed to request a price list and schedule for the fitness and spa facilities, unfortunately I did not receive anything. I naturally assumed a spa offered treatment facilities but it is a one person who uses the room on set days so I was unable to have any treatments during my stay. Only free wifi was in the reception area. Chargeable car park

Not to stay here until there are safety procedures updated.

There were 2 fire alarms on consecutive nights caused by young people not being supervised in food areas On second night there was an evacuation procedure with NO supervision or other support. A clear breach of Health & safety.

the location suited our needs

it’s obvious that everything has been pared down to basics to keep costs down. the facilities are adequate but no better. didn’t like the extra cost for car parking and Wi-Fi- why not just include it in the price?

very good location easy to get to and staff are amazing

there was a hole in the bath in the first room so leaked all over the floor but staff were amazing and changed our room straight away

Very poor

Room was very cold. Heaters did not work. Cracks in the ceiling. Woke up in the morning to the ceiling leaking with water and the sofa/walls/floor and belongings being soaked. Contacted the receptionist which took a while to get through just to be told that they could extend our checkout time till 12pm in a room thats leaking with water??!! :/ was informed the manager would contact us about this but never received a telephone call.
