Great hotel in prime position

The location was great. Breakfast was plentiful tasty and hot. Staff were very friendly and efficient.

Great value for money and would stay again.

Lovely staff,so accommodating. Bedrooms were large ,clean and comfortable. Next to the train station and a 5 minute walk to town centre.

Bathroom was dated but very clean.

Brief overnight stop in a great little hotel

Pleasant stall

Location was ideal right next to the train station entrance. I stayed midweek and had windows open throughout my stay and no problem with noise. Which I’d read about on other reviews. But I can see this been a problem on weekends as the street next to the hotel is closed off to traffic, due to all the bars and clubs on the street. If you’re wanting a weekend hotels close to nightlife it’s a good choice. Room was clean and tidy, furniture was showing it age with a few scratches but still fully functional. Asked about awake up call as unable to program them. Reception asked what time I wanted the wake up call. I received a personal wake up call and not an automated one which I thought was a nice touch.

Breakfast staff too attentive. I only just put my last mouthful of breakfast in my mouth. Put my knife and fork bad on the plate. By the time I’d finished chewing by breakfast the plate had been cleared away. 2 emails every day asking you if you wanted to up grades

It was convenient for our trip and close for the station and shops but I would choose somewhere else next time.

A very convenient hotel, clean and bright. Welcoming staff.

The hotel is literally feet away from the station and in a great area of town within easy walking distance of everything. the single room was spacious and welcoming with a good bathroom. I could hear the station tannoy in the background but it didn't disturb me at all. The staff were helpful.

There were no evening meals available at the hotel but plenty of choice nearby. This was the first time I'd been to a hotel where you have to book a room clean/refresh and put your bin in the hall for emptying. It brought the service down to cheap hostel level. Although I delivered the paper request by 10am on my first day my room was not cleaned, nor was the tea/coffee/milk topped up. The milk from the first night was out of date and congealed too! The curtain needed rehanging and the side lamp mended but none of this was done. If it hadn't been for the friendly and helpful staff I would not have enjoyed my stay as much.

Warm and comfortable at a reasonable price

Easily located right next to Carlisle station and within a few minutes walking time of most of central Carlisle. The reception area is welcoming and the welcome was good. The room was clean and comfortable. The carpet could do with renewal as it is threadbare in places and the attention to the poor hanging of the curtains would show care is being taken of the building and fabric of this fine establishment. Breakfast was good and plenty to choose from.

Not much really other than noted above.

The staff were warm and inviting and were even able to accommodate my dietary requirements (vegan). Every member of staff I dealt with were excellent

The bathroom was a let down, very tired but the beds were very comfy
