Great service, staff and breakfast. Rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. Nice linens. Great location to have as a base and walk/drive to beach and surrounding areas. Train station within walking distance great for longer day trips.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel La Fontaine. The town was very authentic, not touristy at all, which we really liked. The facility is a little worn but comfortable and quiet even though it is located in the middle of town. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They gave us a couple great restaurant recommendations which was great since the area was not very touristy. There was ample onsite parking.
The hotel could use a little updating, mostly cosmetic, but seemed a little past its prime.

Reception staff were friendly.
Breakfast was good.
Walls cracked and black (mouldy) everywhere. Gym equipment broken, not working.
Bedroom never vacuum cleaned. Wardrobe doors broken (I fixed it). Safe without lock (unusable). No toilet paper in bathroom (reception was quick to rectify this).
Swimming pool dirty, didn't see it being cleaned even once.
The most strange is that you must pass through repection to go to the swimming pool area.
