From the initial greeting on arrival, our stay was outstanding. Friendly, informed staff who were always happy to help and make suggestions for day trips and hikes. The breakfast was fabulous, with eggs, cereals including freshly made Bircher muesli and breads from the local bakery. I love the honesty system for snacks and drinks and the availability of tea and coffee at anytime of day. The sauna was a welcome treat after a big day of hiking!

Owner Daniel and staff are very pleasant and helpful solving my problem of booking extra room accidentally.
Nothing major but cleaness of the bathroom could be improved - we can tell it's been cleaned but it seems that person left in a rush.

It was like a home away from home. Beautifull environment. Friendly and helpful staff from the front desk to the dining room staff. The manager told of things to do in Wengen and staff was very helpfull.

Fantastic staff - whether at reception or in the dining room. Everyone was super helpful, friendly and keen to help with hiking and other plans. We chose to eat dinner at the hotel each night and the menu was sufficiently varied and well-priced. Lovely room - dual aspect and spacious, except for modest-sized bathroom. Memorable views of the mountains. Provided complementary taxi ride to the station with our luggage when we departed.
Would have liked to rate as 9.5!
As often, lack of good shelf space in the bathroom, but there was a useful caddy on the back of the door. Not about the hotel - but it was a bit of an uphill hike into Wengen and the station! Not far - but steep!
