No hairdryer but details specify there should be one.
Stayed two nights. Second breakfast no croissants or pan au chocolate even though we arrive at 8am. I asked staff but told none left…. Not very politely either.
Bathroom shower is dangerous. The long shower cubicle is completely smooth with no ridges and no friction zones. A very small shower mat was provided. However as the controls for the shower are positioned at the opposite end of the cubicle to the shower apparatus, it is necessary to step off the shower mat onto the shower tray. Once wet it is without ant friction and incredibly slippy and dangerous. I did fall in the shower even though I took great care not to. The bathroom has been very recently refitted. I am astonished the hotel group have chosen to install such an incredibly dangerous shower.

Welcoming staff at the front desk
Quiet rooms, quiet enough corridors - if you can find your room - a real maze !
Very Good location from the train station and to go out for dinner
The breakfast was an absolute joke, it had been move to another place and was not set up well.
By 08.30, there was no more fruits (only pieces of skin), no more pastries, horrible instant coffee, no alternative milk and glassware for the "juice" unhelpful staff

The hotel needed more staff, Saturday morning breakfast was awful , only one member of staff was present, the hot food had run out and not replenished and we were at breakfast at 8 30

Comfortable room. Bit of a maze to get to the room. Pleasant staff, good breakfast although the tables were a bit cramped for 2 people. Preferred the upstairs breakfast room which we'd used before.

Location was good for an early train (13 min walk)
Uncomfortable bed,too soft, roll together, pillows too soft. Room was very cold on arrival at 8pm (radiator was turned off) It took ages to warm the room, not helped by full length curtains over the radiator. So if you wanted the room to be dark, you got even less warmth. Also the walls were very thin and we could hear the couple in the next room talking.
This combined to result in the worst night sleep we've had in a hotel in years.
Would definitely not stay here again, the nearby Premier Inn was only a few pounds more - Would go there another time

The hotel is in a good central position. One member of staff serving in the bar was very helpful.
The rooms are in need of painting, the windows were filthy and the wood is rotting. The receptionist was a little abrupt and as the lift was not working and we had to walk up two floors I might have expected a small extra such as a free drink? There was one teabag in the room, one of the glasses was half full of water but had a cover so I assume that had not been washed. Generally quite poor value for money.

There was a flashing light outside my window all night, the lift wasn’t working and the bathroom was very dated.

Room comfortable.
I rang pre booking ref my limited mobility.
Was informed of limited parking at the hotel.
Planned my journey to hopefully allow me to get a space which I did but staff had not told me about the stairs I would need to encounter before I got to reception level. Which i really struggled with.
On arrival I was too early for check in so asked about lunch was directed to the Kings bar or a local chain pub.
I went to the Kings bar but actually just wanted a sandwich this was not available only on pre order which I had not known about this is to do with food waste.
Breakfast was poor.

Location was good for work as I was 3 minutes away from the train station
The staff that I interacted with where helpful and pleasant
Walls were paper thin, I could hear the man coughing next door
The bathroom was tiny and the shower made the whole floor wet as there was no door
With the windows and walls being thin I could hear the chimes of the church every hour when trying to get to sleep

Room wasn’t booked! Even though it had been paid for, so must have been a case of overbooking like hotels do! But this time it back fired!
Toilet wouldn’t flush, was told it was repaired for next day when i returned from work to find this not the case , the panel had been removed and i was told to press too levers in the toilet system!!!
Lights not working ! Again nothing done! Here for three nights and only on the last night was I moved.
Waiting for my refund please

Lovely welcome from a very helpful receptionist on arrival. Hotel layout well explained so helping us locate our room.
Breakfast system felt a bit messy. A menu card on each table stating what was available to be cooked to order and then ordered from the bar would have been good. Two poached eggs on a plate and then get your own toast felt a bit odd.

The location and the breakfast was fine.
Room could have been a little larger but at the price it was good value. Had stayed at Bannatynes which I had preferred for similar money

We were in one of the last rooms on the fourth floor ,from car park a mini hike then to the room it like trying to find the toilets at some weatherspoons but at least there were 2 lifts for those who needed them not together though that would be too easy you have to find the second one ,gets your steps in I guess

the shower was a poor design and had obviously caused damage to door and carpet that made the room look a bit shabby
