Great location and unique charm! This nice pension is located just next to K-Damm, making it perfect for shopping and exploring. The entire place is full of wonderful old-time nostalgia, offering a cozy and charming atmosphere you won't find in modern hotels.
While you cannot compare this place to brand-new modern hotels and the older surface materials are quite noticeable at first, it did not bother me at all. The hotel was actually really nice and everything was very clean.

Art deco and 1920s feel, clean room and bathroom, excellent location (central yet quiet), friendly staff, abundant breakfast options. Staff helped me with carrying the suitcase down the stairs and once I even got to ride in the historic elevator.
I had to wait a little bit before the room was ready, but I was able to relax on the sunny balcony adjacent to the breakfast room while waiting, so the waiting wasn't so bad, after all!

The hotel is situated in the old apartment of actress Asta Nielsen. The hotel halfway is filled with memorabilia of this and has its own style. It is a really old apartment, but clean and well maintained. Also very friendly personnel. I had booked a small room with shared bathroom. Therefore the room was small, but also what is suitable for 1 person. If you like nostalgics, then this is a good place to go.

The hotel is really a gem, it takes you back to an era and it's something to be able to experience it. The staff made this stay extraordinary. They're kind, helpful, attentive, and so sweet. They offered breakfast, all day coffee/tea. and daily cleanings if needed. The hotel is in a great safe location close to many restaurants, cafes, and whatever amenities you might need. A grocery store is also close by. The hotel is family ran which keeps the property super warm and inviting. Hussein and Abdas were great. My room was quaint and I loved the tall ceilings, beds were fairly comfy if you like them on the firmer side!
There were no toiletry amenities like a shampoo or bodywash which can come in handy for people.--or a hairdryer. Also, no A/c but gratefully the weather was moderate and didn't need it. The upkeep of the place could be a lot better. The room itself was decent and bathroom was clean, however cleanliness of walls, storage, hallways could use a little love. The place is magical that just a little extra love could really do it some justice. Regardless I'm glad I stayed there for the history and experience. Customer service overruled a lot of it's faults.
