Poor
lovely location.. outside of the building was lovely. definitely want to go back to Souillac.
not the rooms we booked, no coffee/tea maker as described. we couldn’t get a drink, not even a bottle of water. it was bank holiday so the restaurant was shut..which I would have liked to been aware of before booking. plug socket hanging off the wall. did not feel very welcome. nothing was explained to us. would not stay again. we felt like we were not welcome on that day. presumably down to the bank holiday.

Comfortable enough
Kind owners. Nice breakfast for 7 euros (bread, croissants, butter, coffee, milk, sweets, yogurt, juice, nuts). The room and toilet were clean and the bed was comfortable enough.
Old and strange decoration, a little bit creepy from my point of view. The fruit in the breakfast was not appetizing. If you are looking for a modern cozy hotel this is not your place. If you are looking for something to sleep and breakfast this is enough!

Superb
A beautiful old characterful building in a beautiful location right in the center of the lovely town of Souillac. It could be updated and modernised but that might lose some of the charme. The town is a gem and after booking in at the hotel we enjoyed a walk around it and a meal. The bed was very comfortable. The location, in a small square with narrow streets, is very atmospheric. We would certainly stay again.

Perfect
Claudine, the owner, is the best thing about the property because she makes it very homey and welcoming gives the property her unique French touch. She took time to welcome me and show me the room. She drew a map of the area so I wouldn’t get lost. The breakfast room is glorious breads, croissants, chocolate croissants, fruits, a huge assortment of jams, cereals, coffee and tea available for snacks as well as breakfast. Your biggest decision every day will be choosing from the hundred or so cups of different shapes, sizes, colors, floral prints, stripes as to which one will make your coffee or tea taste best. Then you have to choose a plate-same story. Absolutely lovely. The hotel has a n outdoor sitting area with area with a small bar that seems to be the local gathering spot in the evenings. I loved listening to the joyful conversations in French with my windows open. Very comfortable room with large long bathtub that I used nightly. I usually prefer shower but could not resist the tub The rooster art on the bedroom walls made me smile every time I walked in. I only stayed two nights and it wasn’t enough. Claudine is interesting person to visit with. She’s been in the are most of her life. There is wide variety of adventure in nature in the area. A grand cup awaits you in Claudine’s breakfast room. Cheers to Claudine

Interesting!
A one night stopover for us. Location was good on a small quiet back street square. We were reminded a little of the cafe Renee from "Allo Allo"! The property has probably not changed any since 1940 which for us gave it a sort of charm.
The ground floor was a dining room and a small bar. The small bar room was extremely cluttered with anything you'd care to name, Little incentive to drink in there. The small patio outside the front (subject to weather) was pleasant though. A very dated property in much need of some TLC. Parking was awkward we had to park 100m away near a park. Despite my good Fremch language we did not find the patrons particularly conversational or interested in us.

You would pay more in one of the chains and it wouldn’t be half the fun
Great location, clean and exactly what you should expect from a small French family hotel ( with all the idiosyncrasies which come as standard). Don’t expect air conditioning at this price, but the fan worked well and did the job on a hot night
Parking nearby was a nightmare so don’t bother. If you find a place just park and walk - it won’t be far. No restaurant in the hotel but plenty of choice in the town.
