Sanitaires vieillissants.

The places is perfect for a different experience than Paje or Nungwi. You need to walk a bit (~15min) to the beach in the town or town itself so if this is not a problem the place could be exact what you need. Kizimkazi is a fisherman village. It has a chill vibe, awesome ocean view and a great garden. Lots of chill places within and a swimming pool if you just want to relax and not go to the beach. Rooms are pretty basics, baldachin bed and a few additional staffs. Breakfast was good! Also the place is good for sunset lovers as we are! :)
Few adjustments can be made to improve stuff. For instance the shelves although cozy were unstable and could fall down at any time and in the bathroom a few improvements can be done as well.

The most relaxing and authentic vista in the South. Genuine expression of Zanzibar culture , and charm. Rustic in parts but incredibly comfortable .
Sometime the music at night could be a bit loud and dominating.

Promise land is in Kizimkazi. The hotel is exceptional and the staff is amazing. The food is delicious but the menu has to be changed because it is the same the last two years.
Also sunsets are mesmerizing in this hotel and it has a family ambience.
It is beachfront with an exceptional view.
It is a little bit far from the centre of the village.
Wifi was not working in the room.
You need special shoes to swim in the sea in the front of the hotel because it is full of stones inside.
The swimming pool needs renovation.

Very nice and numerous chill out areas with brilliant sea view and great decorations, good vibes, nice pool, Kajaks, SUP, Slackline, good vegetable Curry, fire at night, good music, the staff at the Restaurant and cleaning staff was extremely friendly
Swimming was not possible at low tide and during high tide it was too much wind and waves to swim or kajak, last part of the road was very bad
Staff at the bar was just sometimes helpful
Didn't get exactly the booked room

Absolutely nothing!

Super relaxing atmosphere with lovely pool, lots of sun loungers, day beds, great bar, great views. Super helpful staff always happy to take kayak down steps so I could have a paddle along the coast. Great pina colada. Saw whales from the sun loungers in the distance. Great location to go and see whales in august.
Only one other restaurant nearby so slightly limited in terms of food choices if staying for a long time, but lots on the menu.

From the moment we arrived for my birthday trip we had a very warm welcome. The hospitality was exceptional and very professional, the kitchen stuff provided great service and Peter at the bar looked after us very well during our stay. Nothing was too much to ask for and the staff are always ready to help and very friendly. The rooms were very clean and air conditioned well. We had the ocean front view room with a hammock on the balcony and it was a stunning view. We were offered cleaning each day. The food was delicious, we had breakfast and dinner here every day. Freshly prepared and good portions. The environment is radiant and had a positive energy, there’s many spots to relax with a great atmosphere wherever you choose around the lodge. We used the pool a couple of times and also were able to book dolphin tour and blue safari excursions with the accommodation which I’d definitely recommend! Well definitely be visiting again
A bit of a travel to other excursions and the water from the tap and shower is salt water.

We spend 3 nights at Promised Land Lodge and recommend it 100%. The area was designed and built with so many lovely details that you instantly feel at home there. It reminded me on a place in Greece I used to spent much time of my childhood at, which says a lot. I will definitely come back asap.

It was such a relaxing environment. You could just chill and rest or there were activities to do also. The staff was friendly and welcoming! It felt like home.
I am not sure there was anything...

The view, the staff and the atmosphere.
Not much to complain about, the only little points were the lack of warm water for the shower and the lack of breakfast options, but other than that everything was amazing!

The swing beds and chairs, gave a relaxed feel, I loved the pool, clean and warm and accessibility to the ocean made this place even perfect! Peter is a good host.

The property was quite and clean except for the grasses that needed cut. Overall food was well prepared and in a timely manner. The view was lovely. we didn’t interact with much staff but the meal server, Alex, and housekeeper, Saphia, who were delightful and really added to our time there.
The grounds and furniture need more upkeep. Cushions were not always out during the day. Not all food/drink was available due to a shortage. While we were at Promised Land there was a theft. Afterwards we didn’t have peace of mind. I would be interested in coming back if there was more lights and security.

It’s the most relaxing place I’ve ever stayed. Very green, low season so not busy, chilling area everywhere… the ocean view room was amazing., and very comfortable (giant bed). nice staff. Breakfast was nice.
The cocktails really are not the best for the price (expensive). Be aware that when it’s low tide you can’t swim in the ocean (or need to go very far and wear appropriate shoes for that, it cannot be real classic beach time where you lie on the beach and regularly go to the water…), and when it’s high tide the water is not so clear, lot of sea weed, and pretty agitated, I myself didn’t feel like going in but it can depend on the days. For me this was not a problem at all since there is the very nice swimming pool, and I had a rental car so it was really easy to get to other nice beaches, I still enjoyed my time relaxing on the swing beds or chairs for hours reading in the sun ☀️

Great property. Not crowded. Very spacious and serene with spectacular views of the ocean.
Everything was great but the food options are rather limited especially breakfast options.

The place is nice, staff were very friendly and helpful, food was good, access to the sea was easy (big difference between high / low tide), the pool was good and well maintained, a lot of places where to sit down and chill out.
It was too hot and there isn't any aircon (my mistake I didn't noticed) and the fans aren't great. Some equipment would need a renewal (kayaks, fans, faucet etc.)

pool was great, food was ok, bar is ok too. The place itself is very beautiful and the ocean is just a step from the property. Great garden and very chilled out. The big beds in the garden and plenty of other sunbeds make you stay there all day.

The design of the lodge is beautiful. Staff are really nice. Loved my cabin with area to sit out on. The pool area is nice.
It is probably a bit too out of the way for me in terms of transport and taxi costs.

Loved the tropical foliage - and the food was wonderful too! The view of the flowering trees from the balcony was just beautiful!

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Clean premises, with lots of areas to relax in. Bonus were free kayaks. Friendly animals, dogs and cats. Staff were respectful of quiet times, by turning the music down at night.
The coffee wasn't great. The pool was neat, but could use a clean. I asked for a quiet room but unfortunately, there was noise from a pump and a construction site next to it. Also the room (#24) smelled mildewy, which could be smelled already from outside. A bit more care could have been taken in room presentation, e.g. we had hangers hanging around in random places and the flower petals on the bed were scattered and looked displaced.
Would have liked to have some snorkeling gear available, and was told that there was. But there wasn't any available.
