We liked the look of the apparent, very remote from everywhere
Quite few issues, a lot of mould and water damage on the wall around air-conditioning unit, there's so many mosquitos in the apartment we couldn't sleep properly almost at all, property should have some mosquito nets to cover yourself, also there was no tissues, and chandelier in the bedroom was covered with piles of dust and after I we pulled the suitcase from under the bed it was covered with fick dust. Also light in the corridor flickering non stop.

Excellent communication from owner. Excellent accommodation of medicine storage request. Comfortable master bed. Nice & luxurious clawfoot bath tub. Well appointed kitchen. High ceilings. AC & heat units worked in living room and master bedroom. Hot water was appreciated. Easy transport from apartment on flat walk way to water bus route 4.2 to train station.
Single bed in 2nd bedroom was very firm / hard. Pillows were thin and worn. No shower head for showers; only hand shower and tub. No TV channels or instructions. Check-in instructions received late. Confusion and delay during arrival. No dining table.

Lovely spacious apartment in the Castello area of Venice. 2 minutes walk from Arsenale vaporetto stop. Beautifully presented and very Venetian. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were good.

A security box was outside the apartment with the keys.
A word of warning - Michelle is not as charming as he likes to promote himself.
MICHELLE IN VENICE offers you 2 apartments named “CA CONTESSA” and “CA VEDUTE DELL’ARSENALE“ - and then, if you are lucky, you will get the apartment you booked.
We booked through Booking.com for Ca Contessa. The day before Michelle sent us the access codes for the apartment - but rather for Ca Vedute. We only realized this once we were physically outside Ca Contessa and could not access the apartment. We called Michelle who insisted this was the apartment that we booked - even when we told him about the physical differences (photo’s of a walk in shower were not in our apartment). He then called on his business prestige, his honour and even him being a upstanding father. BTW don’t ask for him to meet and greet you, as this will cost you €20. In hind sight I see why the high price - to discourage a scene when you see that you are not at the apartment you booked for.
We tried calling Booking.com to help us, but they merely reconfirmed what Michelle had said. So we did not stay at the physical address supplied by Booking.com. As a token of goodwill we did receive a €25 credit for a future booking with them.
It became a battle of words - his word against ours. Sadly we had had to pay prior to checkin.
