Wonderful little upstairs suite with all the amenities and a host who lives downstairs and is available and welcoming (a rare thing in these self-checkin days) and even provided a list of recommendations for places to see, eat and drink. On a quiet lane but only a couple of minutes walk to the main square.

Nothing but some people might find the stairs up to the apartment narrow and steep.

Gouda is a beautiful, beautiful city ideal for a short break or long weekend, and Betty Blue is the perfect place to spend it. Erwin and Jolanda have created an amazing place to stay. The recommendations for places to visit, to eat and to drink were well thought out and they should be commended for their choices (we loved Casa Chow, go there!). The room provided everything we needed, breakfast was generous, thoughtful and tasty; The bed was comfortable and the shower was great too. I may have discovered a new favourite city break location.

Decor was very nice, B&B was very central. Breakfast was lovely. Owners made us feel very welcome.

We missed a full length mirror and the sofa was not very comfortable. USB ports could be added into the B&B.

An exceptional B & B. So stylish, filled with natural light and equipped with every comfort. The hosts were very approachable and outstandingly friendly!

I can think of nothing that I would recommend to change about this property. I found it so impressive!

Loved everything about this B&B, the owners really went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. The accommodation was first class, clean, comfortable, quiet and in a central location. The breakfast is lovely, using local produce and there was plenty of it supplied. The personalised touches show that the owners really care about their clients which as a solo traveller, was welcome. It really is a hidden gem of a place and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The scary stairs!!!

The location was very good and the hosts were very well acquainted with the places we ‘probably’ would like to visit. It was a spacious place and dining in was nearly as pleasurable as dining out.

We didn’t know in advance there was paid parking, where we could park (the street itself was a car restricted area because of the narrowness) and where we could park the car for free. It would have been more helpful for us to be aware of this fact because we would’ve made other choices. I personally missed my milk at breakfast. Fortunately, the supermarket was nearby. My partner didn’t like the fact that the beds came apart if you laid in the centre of the bed. He found himself wedged in the middle at some points during the nights but overall we had a brilliant stay. The location was to die for and we’ve enjoyed it very much.
