This is a secluded place far away from anything. You need to bring your own food, except for the breakfast. The place is exceptionally beautiful with several buildings right next to the lake. Great old-fashioned sauna and a small sandy beach for the little ones. Plenty of space. I strongly recommend this as an essential Finnish experience.
The only downside is that you need to bring/prepare your own food, or drive 20km (?) to Varkaus, where the selection of restaurants is pretty poor.

The place middle of nowhere is the best opportunity to swim and sauna in summer. It is the right place to have a good experience of Finnish summer.
Location is far away from cities and village that don't go there without lunch or diner. Otherwise, you should buy food and have a meal at there.
