This is a lottery win find. If you are reading this and it is still available- book it quick!

The location is away from the busy chaos of old town but close enough to anything that you need! 15 min walk to bus stop, old town and 3 minute walk to grocery store, bakery. I really enjoyed the location and would stay here again in a heartbeat. The actual apartment was AMAZING! I have never had one like it. Ugh- I wish I had booked for 4 more nights because it was just literally perfect. BIG, Quiet, Cozy. A hidden gem and I am so glad I landed on it.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Large apartment but has some issues

The apartment isHUGE! I know MASSIVE for an European flat Plenty of room for two couples or a small family to stay. The amenities were great for making our own meals and it was very comfortable. There is a grocery store, only a few blocks away and an excellent pizza place as well. It is good value for money.

There were a couple of issues: When we arrived, there was definately a lingering smell of cigarette smoke. The owner son told us it was from a neighbor’s barbecue, but I don’t think this is actually what was taking place. Obviously someone had smoked in the apartment before we arrived and it lingered for a couple of days, even though we opened the windows and turned on the air conditioning. It wasn’t a pleasant introduction. You need to understand that the apartment is at the top of a VERY steep Hill. Sarajevo is surrounded by mountains and although the walk downhill is not bad the climb back up is not worth it. You need to plan to take a taxi back up to the apartment at the end of each day. The two bedrooms face the street and there is a very loud, very popular dance bar across the street that closes at 2 AM. The locals seem to enjoy it A LOT and they liked to gather outside afterwards for about an hour. If you don’t have earplugs, sleeping can be extremely difficult. It is VERY loud. If you’re planning to stay here, I suggest you invest in some earplugs to help with you sleep soundly.
