My husband and I spent a week with our son and his wife. The condo is very fresh and well equipped. The sunsets from the balcony are incredible. The hot tub had just been repaired so we were able to enjoy it as well. The 7 Elements Day Spa on the property was having their grand opening. I had a wonderful massage.
Birch Bay is a very convenient location. We went to Vancouver for the day and to Bellingham several times. I highly recommend San Juan Excursions for the whale watching tour.

This condo and its owners are great. I have stayed here twice and look forward to another return visit someday. I love sitting on the balcony and watching the sun set.
For those with accessibility needs, specifically mobility, this condo is a great option. This year I brought my elderly parents, one of whom can only walk very short distances (10 feet or less). We use a manual push/no-assist wheelchair to help get him around longer distances.
From a wheelchair perspective, you can get from the parking lot, to the elevators, in/out of the elevators, and into the condo with zero steps. The parking lot is very flat and nicely paved. The ramps from the parking lot to the elevators have a moderate incline and are not steep. There are two elevators at the complex, which was a lifesaver because one elevator was being repaired during our stay.
There are no steps inside the condo or attached balcony. The master bath has a walk-in shower, which my father was able to use easily.

Our first stay at Birch Bay and we were so lucky to have been able to enjoy it in this immaculate, well equipped, and tastefully furnished condo. It had everything needed for a perfect 2 weeks of peace and relaxation. The cool ocean breezes, exceptional bay views and colorful sunsets were all amazing. Thank you Paul and Betty for sharing your home. We will definitely be back again.

Our Happy Place
There is just something about Birch Bay that always makes me smile! Our 3rd time in Paul & Betty’s beautiful home overlooking the beach and we had another wonderful stay. They make everything so easy. Their unit has everything one might need for any meal preparation. The location is central to any and all activities and the unit itself remains pristine. Thank you both, again! We hope to stay again soon!

Wonderful Place to Stay on the Bay
Spotless, well-appointed condo on an interesting part of Birch Bay. Everything worked well. We enjoyed watching the tide changes and bird activity (many eagle sightings). A couple of casual places for food and beverages in Birch Bay, and a good grocery store in Ferndale which is only a 15 minute drive away. Highly recommend this condo as a great place for relaxing and some peace and quiet..

Wonderful stay!
Another wonderful stay at Paul & Betty’s beautiful Birch Bay home. Our third year in their unit. Everything was perfectly stocked with anything one might need for cooking. Very thoughtful. It was spotlessly clean and everything in working order. The weather was perfect and we went clam digging almost every day. The new walking paths were great. We enjoyed every morning. Thank you both for such a fun filled week. We hope to be back soon!

Great Vacation Spot
This was our third time staying at this condo and we hope to go back again. It is the ideal set up for two couples. The owners have been great to deal with. The view of the bay is wonderful and the walking path across the road is a plus.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Birch Bay! Paul was very responsive to all of our questions and needs. The complex has beautiful grounds, ample parking and was extremely quiet. The condo itself was all you would expect; beautiful counters enhanced the cabinets, the beds were 'just right' for a relaxing nights' sleep and then the view. The view was exceptional through all the windows which looked out on a shimmering bay!
Excellent place to stay in close proximity to quaint roadside farmer produce/flower stands and the best soft serve ice cream at the Edaleen Dairy Stores.

This is our second time staying at Paul and Betty’s condo and everything was as perfect this time as last time. We love the views and amazing sunsets. The jacuzzi tub was the best way to end the day. Very nice and clean condo with fantastic views of the water. The owners Paul and Betty were gracious hosts and easy to communicate with. Everything you could think of was provided. This was my first experience with a VRBO and the owners couldn't have made it easier. I am already looking forward to my next vacation, and this condo will be the first one I check to see if it is available.

Nicest accommodations on Birch Bay!
This was our 16th summer visiting Birch Bay and, by far, the most beautiful lodging! Everything needed to make any stay memorable. Waking up or retiring for the evening viewing the early morning bay and colorful sunsets was enough to toss away our cares. Paul was the most pleasant and conscientious host and our only regret was being unable to meet him and his wife, Betty. Thanks for all that you offered us.

Getaway in July
Though we spent much of our week stay visiting other places, it was always nice to settle back at the condo late afternoon. The condo was well appointed and the views relaxing watching tide coming in and out. There was walking in the sand when the tide was out. Directions for the use of electronic equipment was easy to understand. Washer, dryer and dishwasher all standard. The kitchen had all the necessities and they were of good quality. It would have been nice to have had a crock pot though. People at the condo facility were friendly. There were cafes and a restaurant within walking distance. The weekend was very busy with people and traffic enjoying the seashore. The balcony was a sunny place in the afternoons. The heated bathroom floors very nice in the cool mornings. The master tub was very appreciated. We enjoyed out stay.

A week never seems to be long enough. We sure enjoy our time there! Paul and Betty have a beautiful home and are wonderful to deal with when booking. They provide everything you can think of. This is our second year renting from them. We absolutely love it there! Thank you for sharing your home.
