Lympstone Manor Hotel Restaurant & Vineyard - Relais & Chateaux

Great location. Classic building. Wonderful food.

Second restaurant in pool house not easily accessible and food very average. Slow service. Bedroom design crazy. No lighting over basins. No mirror for using hair dryer or makeup. Suspended bedside lights a head hazard.

Breakfast was amazing, views over the sea are beautiful, outdoor pool was fab, rooms were comfty.

There were a few times where balls were dropped on the service front or things were forgotten, but the staff were all lovely and otherwise everything was great.

Gorgeous views, amazing period features and beautiful décor. The attention to detail was incredible, and the views over the estuary and vineyard were truly so special.

Nothing!

The staff were friendly, the location was lovely & the grounds were beautiful. The view was spectacular. The first room we were put in was nice but sadly not what was advertised. The room service food was delicious.

The room selected on booking.com shows a double bath indoors, and a bath outdoors on the balcony. It isn’t clear that these are two completely different rooms. The shower was unclean, the bathroom smelt sadly of sewerage, the remote control for the tv was really dirty with food in between the buttons. We moved rooms due to wanting the outdoor bath as shown but the room was far smaller, the outdoor bath wasn’t cleaned & unfortunately due to the spiderwebs behind you couldn’t relax and there was spiders coming from it every few minutes. The in room documents showed a pantry stocked with cakes, coffee, tea - we didn’t see any cake / snacks in here at any point. Breakfast was nice but unfortunately there was a hair in the jam pot so that put us off quite a bit too. We paid a ‘last minute’ rate - but to be honest I would be SO disappointed if I had paid the full price.
