Convenient for my needs. Kitchenette was useful with all utensils you might need.

Felt a bit unsafe in the area as a solo person. Shower hose was broken so water spraying everywhere. Mattress had a dip in it and was uncomfortable.

OK for a one night stay but wouldn’t want to stay longer given poor quality mattress. Really needs replacing.

Central location

Would strongly advise not to book these apartments. The main issue was that the apartment didn’t have a sofa bed or any spare / additional bedding. It was booked as a ‘3 bed apartment’ and listed as having 2 double bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living area. We therefore paid for 3 adults to stay. We checked in at 10.30pm - the apartment smelt strongly of damp. When we realised there was no sofa bed we contacted the owner immediately. We were offered no apology, and told they could drop off some spare bedding and a sofa bed in 40 minutes. When I said this wasn’t good enough as we were all tired and wanted to go to bed, he asked “what do you want me to do about it?”. When I asked for a refund he told me he could cancel the listing and we’d need to check out. He was rude and dismissive. I tried to contact booking.com who had me on hold for 20 minutes and then the call disconnected. The apartment was dirty, the sofa had stains on it and a huge rip and was extremely uncomfortable (especially when I then had to sleep on it). The bathroom had a huge mould stain on the ceiling and the shower was dirty. The toilet didn’t flush in the morning and we had to use pans of water. Despite booking.com advising that no further payment is needed and to report any requests for additional payments, a £100 security deposit is required which must be paid direct into Empire Serviced Apartments account. This is then refunded ‘up to 7 days’ after your stay. Because of this we were nervous to complain too much at the time of check in as, given the owners lack of professionalism and care, we were concerned we would not get our deposit back. Speaking to the owner was useless, they didn’t care and could not offer us any alternative accommodation.

Location great, all we needed for our two nights, we booked a 1 bedroom apartment and got upgraded to a 2 bed river view, fantastic can't thank you enough, would loved to have stayed longer. Bed very comfy, large balcony great views. Will definitely stay again

Nothing we didn't like, no milk sachets with tea, coffee, etc. Maybe instructions on how to use TV remote, WiFi etc. Would be good but we are both over 60 so maybe it's just us
