very disappointing

The location of the apartment was as described. After a long back and forth the money was reimbursed

- Key handover in a kiosk (1.5 km away) with limited opening hours. - Name of the kiosk didn't match the given information, but it was possible to guess which store might be meant. On arrival: - Unkempt apartment building - Toilet flush was out of order - Dishwasher was full of dirty dishes - Refrigerator door was open because defective, fridge wet at the bottom and glas shelves, rest of it was iced up - Old drink containers in the fridge - Bed sheets old and too small for the bed Owner contacted due to the circumstances, photos of evidence were requested. Well, ok... we sent photos. We were then asked by landlady to leave the apartment and would get reimbursed. Another apartment was mentioned, but never offered. We were then asked to take photos to prove that the bed had not been used by us. (excuse me?) 1.5 km back to the kiosk, searched for parking, returned key. Then, searched for a new place to stay, booked it, organized key transfer and finally got there. The owner was informed about the key return, but there was obviously chaos in the kiosks key system. We were accused (not to say blamed) of not having left the apartment because the key would have not been registered as returned. We then suggested sending someone to check it, as we were already at our "new" place. Went back to the kiosk next morning to see if the same employee was on duty and could remember. She was not and it was not possible to trace where the key was as the collection number is obviously reassigned for each transaction and cannot be traced after return. Asked how to proceed in order to get reimbursed few days later as we not heard back from landlady. After a lot of back and forth landlady sent phone number of her assistant instead of answering. According to the motto, take care of it by yourself! Finally, Assistant got in touch with us and returned money. Resume: half day of hassle, lots of blaming received, missed dinner, entire stay messed up. Thank you!

Views were fantastic. Room was generous in size. Reasonably close to the main restraint areas. Separate toilet and bathroom was great.

The pillows No coffee or tea supplied Hand and shower soap was very low. While the room was generous in size it was tired...

A great stay in Deauville

The location of the apartment is excellent, with a great view of Trouville beach. The balcony faces the sunrise. The apartment itself was clean and tidy. The facilities were excellent - there is a stove, coffee machine, washing machine, necessary cooking utensils etc. Check-in was easy (key collection from a hotel near the train station). Both beaches were within a ten minute walk. Overall the apartment is great and great value for money. I have seen that others complained about the noise of the elevator - while during the day you can hear the elevator it is by no means too loud, and used much less frequently at night. I did not notice the elevator noise when I was sleeping.

La vue, le calme, la situation entre Trouville et Deauville. On pose la voiture sur le parking et tout se fait à pied. C’est parfait!
