About this house rental
Situated in Estes Park, this attractive house for $963 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Aspen Knoll is a spacious, comfortable vacation rental home in Estes Park located 500 yards from Rocky Mountain National Park, on the banks of the Big Thompson River (great trout fishing!), and across from the YMCA of the Rockies. Larimer Permit #20-NCD0381. Aspen Knoll is the perfect setting for a memorable, relaxing, fun-filled vacation for the entire family. You’ll love this home’s unique combination of privacy, spectacular views, and convenience. Plan your trip to Aspen Knoll now! We reintroduced Aspen Knoll as a vacation rental in summer 2019 after years as our private family vacation home. Already one of the top homes on VRBO in Estes Park, guests love staying so close to Rocky Mountain National Park with all the conveniences of a spacious family home. Wonderfully Private. Nestled against Gianttrack Mountain, the house is the highest home in the development, has no adjoining neighbors, is away from busy roads and attractions, and yet only 500 feet from the river. Open your window to the mesmerizing sounds of rushing snowmelt while your eyes take in the soaring beauty of the Rockies. Spectacular Views. Aspen Knoll has some of the best views in the area. Rocky Mountain National Park’s snow-capped peaks can be seen from your master suite. Large picture windows on each floor provide breathtaking views unobscured by other homes or power lines. Spend your evenings on the deck watching the sun disappear behind the mountains. Convenience & Comfort. Aspen Knoll has all of the little extras to help guests just show up and relax. Two living areas provide plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves together and spread out when they want. Kids love the first floor living area with its Colorado moss rock gas fireplace, big screen tv, DVD player, Wii, classic console games, and board games. The living area connects to the children’s bedroom (full-size bunk bed + trundle) with books and toys, a full-size bathroom with tub and shower, and a second guest room (queen-size bed) with en-suite bathroom and shower. The 1st floor also provides access to an outdoor deck and sitting area. The living area on the second (main) floor is the hub of the home and unites the entry, kitchen, dining, tv viewing, and sitting areas in an expansive great room. Its focal point is the floor-to-ceiling Colorado moss rock and log hearth gas fireplace. The great room walks out onto a wrap-around deck with gas grill and outdoor dining area. The main floor also has a bathroom with a shower, laundry room with full-size washer/dryer, and a walk-in pantry. The 3rd floor is reserved for the master suite which offers the ultimate retreat with its own private deck, jacuzzi bath, king-size bed, and a large picture window overlooking the national park. The master suite also has a tv, humidifier, walk-in closet, and en-suite bathroom. Kitchen The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, bakeware, tools, dishes and utensils to serve a large group and full-size dishwasher. A large island sits at the center of the kitchen and houses a gas oven and stove/grill with built-in downdraft. You will also have access to a microwave, blender, coffee maker, espresso grinder, toaster, slow cooker, electric mixer, and other cooking gadgets. Extras for Kids In addition to free Wifi, this home offers big screen tv’s in both the upstairs and downstairs living areas, a DVD player, free Netflix, a Wii, classic video games, toys and games for the kids, and a telescope to spy on the Colorado night sky. For younger guests, we have a booster seat, kids’ dinnerware, a Pak-n-Play, kids’ snow bibs of various sizes, and snow sleds, all of which you’re welcome to use. There’s also a humidifier in the children’s bedroom. Each guest room is outfitted with luxury bedding and linens, and we also provide beach towels for swimming (you’ll need to bring a towel to the new water slide at the Estes Park Aquatics Center). Location As our guest, you’ll have full access to our entire 12-acre property including our playground, fire pit, grill, picnic area, nature trails, and 480 yards of exclusive access to the Big Thompson River. Note: evening use of the fire pit, grill, and picnic area is subject to prior reservation, but the grill at the house is always available! Just across the street from Aspen Brook, you can access the world of activities and amenities at the largest YMCA in the world, the YMCA of the Rockies. It offers miniature golf, treetop zip line, bike rentals, horseback riding, tennis, swimming, guided fly fishing, massage, arts & crafts, guided hiking, miles of trails, food, entertainment, and a kids’ day camp. Also nearby, The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern, a rustic (and very popular) mountain bar and grill, is about a mile down the road. It’s hands-down the best place for a beer and burgers in town. Aspen Knoll is truly fishing heaven. Walk 500 steps from the front door and you’ll have access to a 480-yard section of private water on the Big Thompson. The river is stocked with rainbow trout, but you’ll also find naturally-reproducing species like Brown and Brook trout in abundance. Or follow the Big T 460 yards upstream to its confluence with Glacier Creek (the edge of RMNP) where you’ll make the hardest decision of your day—whether to fish Glacier’s pools of rumbling pocket water or the lazy Big T as it wends its way through Moraine Park’s pristine meadow with a crown of snowy peaks surrounding you. The house was as described and had everything we needed for our stay. The location provides easy access to the park and into Estes Park. The big open windows throughout the house allow views of RMNP and the Big Thompson. The patios on each level provide perfect outdoor space to enjoy the mountain air.

Pictures do not do this property justice. This is definitely the BEST house in the neighborhood. It was the perfect amount of space and the views were spectacular. This property is close to everything about a 5 min drive to town. We would definitely stay here again. The property owner made everything easy and he always got back to me in a timely manner. Definitely a must stay!

Beautiful home with incredible views all around. The house comfortably accommodated my family. It’s fully stocked with home essentials needed. It is located high up making driving to and out of the house a little difficult during heavy snow days but other than that the location is good. It’s close to shops and restaurants.

This is an excellent place to stay when visiting RMNP and is very convenient to get to the East RMNP entrances. The view from Aspen Knoll is fantastic with decks on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd levels. The second level is great for getting everyone together with kitchen, dining and living room areas that are open and spacious. Bedrooms are on the first and third levels. and everything you need is provided. We just bought groceries for times when we weren't eating at the many great Estes Park restaurants. You can't go wrong staying here. The Little Thompson River is just down the hill and we saw several Elk close by during our stay.

This was the perfect Estes Park vacation home for my family of 5 (kids 8, 5, and 18 months). There were lots of toys and plenty of gear for kids and adults of all ages. The propriety was clean and well-stocked with great views and lots of space. I appreciated that the owners and property managers allow renters to leave items in the pantry or fridge which may benefit future renters and prevents wasting perfectly good items. We would love to stay here again sometime!

We travel to Colorado every year and it’s always a gamble on VRBO. Sometimes it’s a nice place, sometimes the pictures and descriptions are not accurate at all. But this place…HOLY COW!! Everything about it was absolutely amazing. The views off the 3 different balconies were beautiful. It was quiet. We felt very safe in the neighborhood.
The cleanliness was top notch. Communication with the owner was easy through text, and we felt very welcomed and treated very nicely! My wife and I, along with our 4 young children…had a blast. We will be back again.

Jeremy's house was wonderful. It was very clean and filled with amenities. The views from his house are amazing, my family and I were happy sitting on the deck just admiring the view. The house is close to town with many restaurants and shops and close to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. Jeremy was extremely helpful and very responsive. An excellent stay, thank you!

Wonderful place to stay!
The house was well equipped with everything we’d need. Our fave part was 2 beers left in the fridge for us. Beds were so comfy. Plenty of room to spread out. We walked to the community park just about every evening. We were a big group with lots of kids, 15-7yo. We loved sitting out on the decks and listening to the river and looking at the Mountain View. We’d definitely stay here again!

Nice house in the mountains
Little hard to find the house as you can't see the house address as you are driving up. The driveway is in a strange location off the road where you have to make an extremely sharp right turn. Very nice spacious house, well equipped.

Spacious Cabin close to YMCA and RMNP
The living quarters are huge and the balcony views from the cabin’s high perch are wonderful. The cabin sits highest among the group of cabins in this planned cabin community. It’s is a sharp turn onto the driveway from a narrow road. We had to back up which wasn’t too much of a problem but not easy. The cabin is well equipped with TVs, toys, games and kitchen needs. Tons of space for kids to play and relax and enormous kitchen that was great for cooking. Note that the Cabin is not Air Conditioned, which made it hard to regulate in the hot summer with warm days and cool nights.

The was the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in! The location is great and communication excellent. Loved opening the windows and door to hear the River. There were elk hanging out in the neighborhood one day which was so cool to see. Can’t recommend this place enough!

This house has fantastic views right outside Estes Park. It is close to RMNP entrance (5 minutes) and downtown Estes Park (7 minutes). It is a perfect family stay for all ages. The bean bag pillow was a big hit for the toddlers. Our group included two teenagers, a grandfather, and two toddlers. Highly recommend if you are staying in the area instead of renting two ‘regular’ hotel/motel rooms.

The description of the cabin as well as the pictures are quite inaccurate…they depict privacy and seclusion, however homes are close together, roads are very rights with vehicles constantly parked along the side, and the solidarity is lacking. We brought a trailer and two kid-sized 4-wheelers for our young children to ride (something we have done with a previous VRBO rental)…shortly within our arrival we were informed that the HOA had reported us for bringing a trailer, something which was NOT listed in the description as a “no-no”. It was a little inconvenient, but we still managed to enjoy the entire vacation and beautiful Estes.
