We had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Balcon de Europa at the end of a tour around Andalusia - 3 nights to decompress after a full-on road trip. The hotel was clean comfortable and the location was excellent - perfectly placed for a few days on the beach. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, with a special mention to the porters who managed our access to the hotel car park and moved our luggage between the car and the hotel on arrival and departure. The reception staff were also great and the customer service was superb. We had a room overlooking a small courtyard, which didn't appear to be open for access, so it was very quiet. The room facilities were very good. Breakfast was included in our package and I have to say that it was one of the best hotel breakfasts we've ever had, both in terms of variety and quality. The beach restaurant was also excellent.
Although we had an old analogue style thermostat in the room, I believe the air conditioning was actually centrally managed and I would have liked a little more control over the temperature. It was just a little too warm at times. Having said that, it wasn't overly uncomfortable.

Fantastic location. Lovely bottle of cava left for us in the room on arrival. Beach towels provided which was great. Breakfast really good with fabulous views.
Didn’t realise we didn’t have a balcony which was the only negative. And no balcony rooms available when we asked at reception. So the room was a little dark. But apart from that everything was brilliant.

Location and private beach
I got stuck in one lift and maintenance got me out. No one from the hotel followed up with me afterwards to see how I was. I brought it up with reception when I was checking out.
