The location of the hotel is great, being right opposite the train station and only 20 minutes walk from the city centre. The hotel was fine but it was the most expensive hotel that we stayed in during our tour of Italy. We were able to check in early (around noon) but did have to pay an additional €30 as only the more expensive rooms were available. Another positive was that we were able to leave our bags at reception on the day of departure which left us free to see the sights without the encumbrance of rucksacks.
The hotel was fine but was expensive by comparison to the other hotels that we stayed in during our Italian tour and therefore it rated lower in terms of value for money. I was pre-warned about the additional charges payable (as tips to staff) at checkout but given the high cost of the hotel anyway, this felt a little frustrating.

Amazing service, location, food option.
The pool size was a bit small, but it was great to have 2 pools.

A convenient location for the train station and tourist bus. A distance to old Bologna. A nice breakfast. Consistent WiFi. The room was very clean.
A distance to old Bologna. The reception staff seemed inexperienced, rushed and unable to understand requests. We should have had slippers and a kettle. These were requested although one pair of slippers at first which was surprising as there were two of us. A comfortable bed. Disappointing that their plumber had to fix our toilet which stopped flushing. Had a temporary fix first and then the following day was permanently sorted. The fire alarm went off and I rang reception to see what was happening and no one answered. We used the fire exit to walk down to reception only to find no information as reception didn’t know what had happened. We were very shocked that there was nobody on each floor reassuring guests. We certainly wouldn’t consider staying here again. Customer service poor.
