Zentrales Hotel , mit freundlichem Personal….allerdings keine 4 Sterne.

Wir haben aus unerfindlichen Gründen ein Upgrade bekommen Wir hatten eine riesige Suite mit 2 Schlafzimmer n, Küche, Wohnzimmer- über 2 Stockwerke erhalten. Sehr geräumig, aber haben wir gar nicht nutzen können. Die Zimmer waren schön und sauber.

Die Fernsehsender sind ständig rausgefallen. Man ist durch das ganze fast menschenleere Hotel lange Wege gelaufen. Das Frühstück war sehr spartanisch. Butter fehlte bzw. Ist ausgegangen und konnte nicht nachgelegt werden. (Auch am nächsten Tag nicht)

Interesting building in prime location but lacks atmosphere.

Location was good and the building itself was quite spectacular. Bed was comfortable and room very clean. The two members of staff we saw were friendly and nice.

Breakfast felt very unwelcoming and basic for the price. Entered a totally empty room and helped ourselves to the cold buffet. a member of staff came later and made us a coffee but it all felt very odd compared to all our other stays that week. lack of facilities- no shower, curtains didn’t fit so windows let light in. They don’t seem to have taken the opportunity to enhance the quality of the building with sympathetic decor. I was awakened to the piano practice in the next building at 7.30 which is the music school so maybe request a room away from school ?? It was such a shame as the hotel has such potential to be exceptional.

Nice place, excellent location, but we wont come again due to smell in bathroom.

Room was clean and comfortable.

Very unpleasant smell in the bathroom and toilet. TV didn’t work. No champagne in the mini bar.

We got an apartment that we didn't reserve, because it's not on booking. The apartment is in the attic. There is no elevator to the apartment. The cleanliness of the apartment could be better. Dirty dishes in the washing machine. Cable TV does not work

Not a 4 star hotel, would not go again.

Clean room, comfortable beds. Good location.

Lobby bar was not available. Parking was not available. No normal TV channels (only slovenian). Not enough power outlets.

Overall great with room for improvement

Great location. Comfortable bed. Lovely staff

Untrained and limited staff. Did not feel like a hotel. Originally put in room up steep staircase which could not climb. Changed but this should be mentioned. Ordered two coffees and first person finished by the time second arrived 10 minutes later. Room tea and coffee not replenished and never did get.coffee in 4 day stay. Beds not made without request (4 day stay) and then bath towel removed (unnecessarily) and not replaced. Just generally untrained staff (although all very pleasant to deal with), See

Great location and good value.

The location was incredible! We love the idea of staying at a historic hotel but, this location needs a little TLC. Although, I wouldn’t let this fact deter you from staying at this property as the staff was very pleasant and accommodating, the hotel is value priced, and you can’t beat the location.

Great location, just a short walk from the main town square and river.

Seems like quite an old building, that needs a lot of TLC. Room was very tired looking; cracked plaster; lack of plug sockets; awkward loft room with an angled roof that made it difficult to get in and out of bed; dust, webs and mold in the bathroom & shower tray...

Not sure how they got four stars, it was a disappointing stay.

Location was central and the room was spacious.

Check-in was two hours late, no compensation provided. Despite the wait, the hotel room was not clean, a used towel was still hanging in the bathroom. There were also many hairs stuck on the walls and the shower itself was small and mouldy. Basic items like the safe and phone were not working either. The staff, while polite, were not well trained as they didn't know how to respond to any of these complaints. The historical aspect of the hotel was not highlighted in any way, it felt like staying in an old building, not a historical one.

The location of the hotel was amazing right beside all the tourist attractions and restaurants.

The ac was not working properly in one of the rooms and the other room had a fan because the ac was not working at all so we asked for extra fan. The amenities in the kitchen were all incomplete. We did get little discount though

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. One of them even picked out a great restaurant for me to eat at and made the reservation herself for me. Nice to stay in an historical hotel

Given it is an historical building, then one wouldn't expect AC. However, it was a very hot evening and therefore made sleeping in my room rather uncomfortable

Good location in the pedestrian area of the city centre. Decor in public areas.

Suite was not a suite but a large room. Advertised as having air conditioning but just a plug in fan. {Not a problem during our stay as not hot at night and the location us quiet enough to have the windows open.} Breakfast was hard work! Had to guess what might be in the kitchen to request it was put on the buffet table, teaspoon for cereal is a slow process etc. Staff were responsive but unsupervised and inexperienced. Furniture in bedroom was modern in a clichéd version of an old style. All minor matters we would consider staying at the hotel again if in Ljubljana.

the room was huge and amazing

the check in and checkout experience was frustrating. when we arrived no one was answering the phone and there wasn’t anyone on the front desk to let us in. same on the checkout.

location is unbeatable. Staff was friendly.

TV was not working. I just had a five minute shower then there was no hot water any more and I was in the middle of shower with gel covering all my body. Bathroom was quite smelly. I see nothing resembles "luxury".

fantastic, at an incredible price. very big rooms, our with separated bathroom (with wc) and “water room” (with shower). always someone very kind available at the desk. great breakfast, in an elegant area of the hotel. super comfortable bed, so soft!!

just some detail, as the chipped toilet seat and above all the rainshower not working and the missing shelf inside the shower (we had to place on the ground soap and shampoo)

Ljubljana is a wonderful city, absolutely enjoyed. the Hotel looks fantastic and probably is. just do t stay on room 208

staff, especially Alex were amazing. hotel looks amazing and probably is. just don’t get room 208

room was a disaster. serious drainage problem in bathroom. smell was terrible. bathroom heater not working. hair dryer connection loose. shower needed constant adjustment with low water pressure. pillows were large and lumpy. i was unable to get the TV to work. phone to reception not working.

It was my birthday weekend so I splurged and treated myself to a memorable experience.

The style of the room was inline with my expectation old world charm in such an historic building. Classic feel in a comfortable space.

The bath/shower was a little hard to use with only a handheld shower head. The common areas were small for such a large building. Was hoping to have a place to sit and relax outside of my hotel room.

A 4 star hotel palace managed like a nice bad and breakfast

Breakfast was great. The position of the hotel is perfect, we managed to walk around the city center. The staff is very kind and will help you for every problem you have

Staff is good but we tryed to call the hotel while we were arriving and no one answered. We tryed for 10 minutes but no one picked up the phone. Even the second day we had to wait almost 30 minutes to talk to the hotel manager that was around the hotel doing his job and no other personell was there. The description of the room was different from the room we had. It seemed to us that for a 4 star hotel the services were inexistent.

Excellent. Can only recommend this hotel.

Great staff, beautiful 1600s hotel. Amazing bar and breakfast. Free classical music :-) Music students enjoy practicing in neighbouring buildings!!!
