Nice view from the room towards the river/mountain and a nice breakfast buffet.
Internet was only working sometimes, around 30% of the time during our stay.
The price was very high compared to the standard of the room.

This hotel is very convenient for visits to Machu Picchu by train and upper rooms facing the river have nice views. Breakfast was quite good and the dining room has the views over the river and mountains. The staff were very helpful and attentive.
As with many hotels at this price, the quality of the hotel was average but our room was clean. There is no water supplied for free but there is some available for purchase in the lobby or in nearby shops.

It looks clean at the first sight, but it’s not. I can feel that they didn’t change the bedding. The bathroom is small, you can’t turn around in the shower room and the water splashes out of the basin. This is the worst hotel I’ve stay in Peru among all six, I count the hours before leaving here.
Me and my husband both got about twenty bed bug bites for one night, or whatever the bug is. It has been a week as I write this comment, the blood hole swelled up last night and is getting itchy. I think the bugs lay eggs under my skin and after a week the eggs grow and leave my body. The bites look disgusting.

Staff helped us move our luggage to the room when it was ready for check-in.
1. The room was infested with bugs on the ceiling. They were crawling and flying around the corner. We called the front desk and asked to change rooms, but the staff said "there is nothing we can do". We had to go downstairs to show him the video of the bugs before he agreed that we should change our rooms.
2. Breakfast timing was confusing - on their pamphlet it said breakfast was until 9am. Then we got a call in the morning waking us up at 7.45am asking us to go down for breakfast before it ended. And the front desk said that verbally they mentioned during our check-in that breakfast ended at 8am. But neither of us recalled that this information was relayed to us.
