The staff were so friendly. We needed a very late night taxi from a venue some miles away and the night desk team sorted that for us so efficiently whereas other attendees had issues it being out in the countryside.
There were a lot of things to do in the hotel - the spa/pool/ gym (tho thats quite small), various table games etc. You could see this being good for families.
Our room was large with plenty of room to store clothes.
Breakfast choices were really good.
Our bed was not the most comfortable. Its big but on the soft side.
Also the windows don't block out a lot of noise ... ok most of the time but if there's a large event on in meeting rooms downstairs we were directly overhead so noisy.
There's no facility for tea/coffee in the room ... we missed that.
The outside pool has no handrail to help you get in - its one step down really but quite a big one and as a more elderly guest that didnt feel safe.

I really enjoyed my lovely room, both swimming pools, friendly staff, buffet on weekends!
I wish the gym would stay open, even without staff until at least 10pm.

The hotel is situated in an amazing park area with lots of trees around. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good too. Beautiful lobby.
The rooms are very much dated. It seems like the last time any renovation at all has been done has been at least 20 years ago. Everything in the room looked very much used and stained from aging.
The bed was very uncomfortable, very hard and also very old. The carpet was also very much warn off. Everything, and I mean everything in the room was very very old and not in a good way.
