Good location. Parking. Quiet. Comfy.

As stated, clean comfortable inexpensive.

No breakfast facility.

Location was main reason we chose Balkan Lodge as it’s within easy walking distance from City centre with places to eat nearby. Nearer or central accommodation was more expensive. Nice to have parking and location was quiet (our room was not overlooking the main road).

Because the bed was on wheels it moved every time you got in it or sat up. Shower was a bit weak. But these were minor points as it was only for one night.

Spotless rooms and staff were friendly and helpful

We only stayed one night, person on reception was helpful, but really just a case of collecting key and heading off. Room was clean and comfortable, met our requirements.

Didn't find anything that we didn't like. Had very little interaction with staff, but all seemed efficient.

The whole building was immaculate, and our room had everything we wanted.

There was no breakfast due to Covid restrictions. (Not sure how that worked since restaurants are open.)

Looked as if venue had only recently been totally refurbished, both inside and outside. Everything was so clean and tidy. Considering it’s location the price was certainly value for money, plus the bonus of being able to park on site

Wish I could have had a stand up shower. Breakfast would have been nice even if only continental and the room rate was higher.

Very clean and comfortable . Parking is free at the property. By contrast Parking in city centre is expensive and often full.

It is a tiny bit far from the centre, but walkable . The bus is very close however. There are plenty of places to eat etc on Cowley Road or to stop en route.

Receptionist very friendly and helpful.

Reasonably placed property, with free on site parking. On a good bus route to centre of Oxford, or a reasonable walk time , if you are that way inclined. An excellent room, with well organised en-suite. It was very clean with a very comfortable bed. The room might have been a shade cramped for two occupants but was great for a single traveler. I will definitely return for another visit.

The property wasn’t supplying breakfast at present, but I believe they produce a good one when they are fully operational.
