I loved my stay at the fabulous Hotel Wirtshaus Post. It’s a very well maintained house with a charming style and modern facilities, like a very inviting wellness area. The guy at the reception was exceptional friendly and supportive. In the price included was a 2-day ticket for local public transportation (wow!). I also enjoyed a very delicious dinner and fabulous breakfast (also included). No doubt I will stay there again when being in St. Johann (which developed meanwhile into a much nicer destination than Kitzbühel).
There is nothing I did not like.

The breakfast was really nice. I enjoyed very much using the sauna. The room was comfortable. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
I missed a pool or whirlpool in the wellness area and the "Aufguss" in the sauna.

The hotel is well-kept, in great condition. Location is right in the heart of town - walking distance to/from the train station, many shops & restaurants, etc. We liked the staff. Breakfast included high-quality soft-boiled eggs, and an impressive layout of looseleaf teas with plenty of perfectly sized teapots. The spa has a Turkish (damp) bath as well as a couple of dry saunas of different temperature ranges.
Breakfast could use a better fruit selection. Overall food selection was fine but was weaker in this area (slight pickings of what looked like soggy, canned Dole products).
For spa towels, the hotel is stingy in my opinion. The ones given in the hotel room were small, and there were no additional ones available in the spa itself. That's admittedly coming from an American...

The hotel entrance opened onto the lovely pedestrian area, and Christmas markets.
The rooms were quiet and serene
The hotel restaurant was heavily booked and hard to get a table. When we did our food was cold and my husbands tagliatelle nearly raw. Not a nice meal.

General location- pretty much in the middle between Salzburg and Tyrol's main attractions.
Design- clean and tidy with some stylish decorations
FOOD!! superb breakfast, superb dinner (at the restaurant).
Room- spacious.
Location (within the town)- just on the border of the pedestrian zone and the road, so extremely convenient both to reach with car and then walk around the interesting village pedestrian center.
That we only stayed one night, I wish we stayed more

Wonderful location in the heart of St Johann, surrounded by great eateries and shops. The breakfast was wonderful!
we booked two rooms for a family of four. The Standard Double room was wonderful with a balcony and a lovely view. The Classic Twin room was a disappointment though. Since there was no air conditioning, the window had to be opened. However, the noise and smoke (cigarette) from the Main Street below proved to be rather awful. This was the only downside.

The hotel itself is really nice, but sadly the one night we spent there was not at all a good experience. Our room was right above a rowdy wedding celebration, so what should have been a restful stay was anything but. Had we known about the party, we would never have chosen this hotel. The receptionist was friendly and tried as best she could to make up for the bad decision to rent out a room right above the wedding celebration
For the member of the staff, who suffered through her duty serving coffee at breakfast without a hint of friendliness- while confiding in her colleague "I'm dying a little bit here!" - we have some advice: Have some more coffee yourself, and remember that the customers may hear and understand more than you think...

Breakfast was superb. Room was spacious and clean. Location was perfect in the center of the city. Good value for money. Very helpful staff.
Parking costs 12€ per night which was not clear before arrival.

St Johann is one of my favourite locations in Austria, easy connection by train from Munich Airport. Friendly welcoming people. Lovely scenery, something for everyone.
