About this house rental
Welcome to Fontainebleau Inn, a historic lakeside retreat nestled along the peaceful shores of Cayuta Lake. Our inn offers the perfect setting for family gatherings, friend getaways, reunions, and unforgettable Finger Lakes escapes.
Why guests love staying here: private inn + 8 ensuite bedrooms + lake access + included local breakfast provisions.
Enjoy the charm of a private inn experience with 8 guest rooms, each with its own private bathroom, giving everyone their own comfortable space while still gathering together under one roof. Every room features a queen bed, with one room also offering a pull-out couch. Two cots are available upon request if needed.
The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals together. During your stay, we provide local farm-fresh eggs, locally made bread from Wide Awake Bakery, butter, jam, half-and-half, coffee, and tea. You'll also find a well-stocked kitchen with everyday essentials, including hand soap, plastic wrap, dish soap, sponges, paper towels, and other items to make cooking and cleanup easy.
In addition to the kitchen table (seating for 10), there's a formal dining room that comfortably seats up to 14 guests.
Walk down to the dock and enjoy direct access to beautiful Cayuta Lake. Spend your days swimming, relaxing by the water, or exploring the shoreline. Beach towels are provided for your convenience.
Gather on the back patio for meals, conversations, and sunset views. Guests have access to back patio seating with an outdoor dining table, a propane grill for outdoor cooking, and a lakeside fire pit surrounded by 12 Adirondack chairs and a picnic table. Firewood is available.
Our location makes it easy to experience some of the best the Finger Lakes has to offer. We're just 25 minutes from Ithaca, 15 minutes from Watkins Glen, and close to numerous wineries, breweries, restaurants, hiking trails, and scenic destinations.
Rich in character and history, the inn has been thoughtfully preserved to celebrate its original charm while offering modern comforts for today's guests. As with many historic buildings, you'll notice unique architectural details, vintage features, and the occasional quirk that comes with a property that has stood the test of time, details that make your stay part of the inn's story.
We live next door and are available if you have any questions or need anything during your stay, while still giving you the privacy to enjoy the inn as your own.

Fantastic place for a gathering of friends! A group of a dozen ladies and we had a blast! The house is large, roomy, comfortable and it has perfect spaces for a dance party! Definitely would recommend this place for a great Finger Lakes stay! And we all agreed, we would surely stay again.
