We booked a twin bedroom.
We arrived on time and we were given a king bedroom. We were told that housekeeping would come by and separate the bed later in the afternoon. This did not happen. We waited, completely unpacked, went back to the desk and were told that the bed was not separatable, and we would be able to move to a twin bedroom the next day. We were not happy to have completely unpacked and then had to repack EVERYTHING, again. Otherwise, the rooms were very nice, and the staff was very nice. We did not appreciate them not notifying us on check in that they would be moving us the next day.

The location is great, with onsite parking. Our room was huge, especially the bathroom, it was almost as big as the room itself, and really luxurious. Staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The breakfast is sumptuous and especially delicious when you’re looking out to the beautiful garden.

Pretty building from outside and close to the train station
I did expect more from a 4 star hotel. My room was very small, no toiletries other than soap and body lotion attached to the wall, and very dated air-drier. The room didn't have proper lighting either, and at night the light from corridors was coming through from the door. Most annoyingly at early hours in the morning a very pungent smell of fat/grease came through the room (I stayed 2 nights). I had to keep the window open as it was unbearable. The breakfast was very expensive (€18!) and didn't have anything special - the selection was similar to what you would have in most hotels. All in all I thought it was very pricey for what it was, it's the same quality of a 3 star hotel. I will not come back.
