We stayed here in early June with our family of 5 (kids 9, 6, and 2), and my parents. Overall, the rental was affordable and our stay was great. We come to Norris for the lake and the covered dock itself is very nice. There was ample space to keep our boat and all our water toys. There are camping chairs in the garage if you want to sit out on the dock. One of our favorite things to do is to play off the dock with our mat and paddle board. Since this is on the northside of Twin Cove and not in a private cove, there is some boat traffic. We came during the week so the traffic wasn't horrible, but it might be an issue on the weekends if you are swimming around the dock area. Some of the boats go really fast and the wakes will knock your boat around, even if you tie up well and use bumpers. There was a lot of debri in the water around the dock. I'm not sure if that was the time of year or if it is common for this part of the lake.  The hill to the dock wasn't a terrible walk (though my parents in their seventies had some difficulty and only wanted to make a few trips per day). The concrete walkway as you near closer to the dock is very nice. The dock was off to the side of the . We fixed it once but it went right back. My kids actually enjoyed it this way, so they could play on the concrete pad leading into the water (I think it reminded them of our family cabin in Michigan, where the water is very shallow by the shore). The septic did smell until our last day. I didn't realize it was the septic at first and attributed the smell to a dead catfish. The owner was responsive and sent someone right out shortly after being notified. We didn't use the fire pit for this reason, as it is very close to the septic opening. The outdoor furniture and deck have seen better days and could be replaced. The deck is peeling terribly and has holes in it. Some if the stairs look like they are about to cave in. No complaints about the inside. House was clean for the most part and has a dishwasher, washer, and dryer. Just be aware that there is only one bedroom upstairs and three in the basement. There were sufficient starter toiletries, toilet paper, paper towels, and dishwasher pods, which is always appreciated. There was ample parking for our trailer and two cars. Be sure to drop your boat in the water before you get to the house, as recommended. Easy access to I-75, Twin Cove, and Walmart for groceries.

Dock and at water experience was great. Deck furniture was tired and cushions were not welcoming as covers have holes and rips so not completely covered prior to arrival. Sleeps 12 is a real stretch as needed to sleep some on air mattresses which was less than ideal. Main bathroom toilet was dirty upon arrival. Garage great room was great for the kids to play games, etc. Kind of needs a refresh.

We love that this house is Budget friendly but still located nicely on the lake with a pleasant walk to the dock. The pool table, ping pong, and corn hole were a hit with the kids while the adults enjoyed talking on the deck. It was nice that this owner had another rental next to this one, we were able to accommodate both families and walk to each other’s place for dinner. The mattresses are comfortable and the furnishings are nice. A little out dated but definitely more bang for your buck when looking at location and dock access. We rented a boat from Twin Cove, which is only about 5 minutes away. It looks like the faucets in The kitchen and downstairs bathroom need replaced soon but definitely did not hinder our stay. The owner is always very responsive and easy to work with. We will be back again soon.

We enjoyed our stay on the lake. However, the owner should review his on-line listing. There is only one available covered boat dock, not two. The 2nd covered dock has a boat lift in it, and is unavailable. The 4th bedroom is actually a "closet" with a full size bed and tv in it, and there are no windows. This is an average home that needs some repairs/maintenance. Lots of space for parking vehicles and trailers.
