About this cabin rental
Spectacular views of the Adirondacks including the High peaks, Moxam, and Gore Mts. This newly constructed log cabin nestled in the quiet woods features an open floor plan with one bedroom and 1 full bathroom. The house is furnished and has all the comforts of home including a king size bed with hotel quality linens, propane fireplace, big screen television, cable internet WiFi and AC gas grill and fire pit. All basic kitchen supplies and spices provided as well as towels and linens. The house also features full length porches on the north and south of the house to take in the fabulous views. This a great retreat to enjoy walking, hiking bicycling and perhaps getting a glimpse of the abundant wildlife in the area. Ski direct from the cabin on to Garnet Hill's cross county trail system and enjoy rafting, kayaking, fishing and other area recreation when the season is right. Close to the Hudson river, 13th Lake, Siamese Ponds Wilderness and a quick ride to Lake George. Please call or email to book an Adirondack retreat at the Balm of Gilead.

Very nice cabin which suited our needs perfectly. 9 miles from Gore skiing. Very comfortable/cozy decor supplied with everything we could need for a several day stay. Will consider returning next ski season.

Balm of Gilead is a very quiet, beautiful place. A short walk down the road is a great view of some nearby mountains. One bedroom, perfect for an Adirondack getaway. The cabin is clean, and has everything you need. We will probably be back at some point.

The cabin is located a top of mountain near Garnet Hill Lodge, where we like to bike and hike. It was a perfect weekend for colors, and the weather was magnificent. A great day of biking and hiking and enjoying the outdoors and a beautiful setting. The cabin was lovely, very clean and very welcoming.

We enjoyed the quiet mornings on the back porch, and the goodies that were left for us. The cabin was very clean and cute. Should be noted that the upstairs and basement are not part of the rental. Beautiful area!

The property was clean and comfortable. The rustic decor was charming, and it was lovely that the hosts welcomed us by leaving chocolates and other goodies for us. The only drawback was how difficult it was to find the property at night. It is in a remote area without many lights or house numbers to help guide you to the property, so we drove back and forth for quite some time looking for the house, which was unsettling in a dark, remote and unfamiliar neighborhood. I would recommend to renters that they plan on arriving during daylight hours!

We totally enjoyed our stay at Balm Of Gilead. The cabin is absolutely gorgious just like the pictures show. Everything looks brand new! It was very well stocked! Arts paintings added to the charm. Kristine was very friendly and was available to help with anything we needed. But honestly, we just felt like we were at home. Definitely plan to stay again. Just wish there was room for 4 to sleep. It would be such a nice place to go with another couple. Thank you Kristine and Art.

This property is great! Peaceful and quiet. You feel like you're "home" from the moment you open the front door.
There is everything you could want or need plus more! So clean and comfy too. Definitely a place to look forward to coming back to after a long day of exploring. Enjoyed the front porch every morning and night for coffee. I looked forward to my daily deer visit.

Amazing Weekend in ADK
Kristine and Art think of everything - this place is great! The cabin is beautiful and super cozy; it's a great home-away-from-home to come back to after a long day out.
We enjoyed curling up on the couch for a movie at night, and taking our breakfast out onto the back porch at sunrise. The surrounding property is scenic and lush with life. Can't think of a better place to take some time and relax!

Fantastic Getaway
My wife and I arrived at the cabin on Friday afternoon and were quite taken with the scenery before we even opened the door. The cabin is lovely and very well appointed, everything you could possibly need is there. The property checked all the boxes: clean, charming, warm and cozy, convenient, etc.... The owner clearly communicates and was available if needed. Garnet's Hill's ski trail system is adjacent to the cabin (Bewilderness Trail).
Couldn't have been a nicer place to stay.
