However, La Jolla Village and La Jolla Cove are still a five minute car ride, fifteen minute bike ride (for adults), or twenty minute walk. While La Jolla Shores has such famous restaurants as Piatti's, Osteria Romantica, and the five-star Marine Room, the shopping, restaurants, bars, and art galleries are still very accessible from this location. From La Jolla Shores, depending on the season, you can relax on the beach in the sun, kayak the La Jolla Sea Caves, snorkel with the famous (and completely harmless) leopard sharks, kayak with gray whales, surf gentle waves, boogie board around the beautiful coast. This is a lovely place to stay which is very close to some fantastic places to eat (including the best little bakery/coffee shop next door) and the beach is within a very short walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

I very much enjoyed a long weekend at the apartment! I didn't want for anything and the bed was comfy as well as the living room! I loved the air con in the bedroom and the living room as well as the ceiling fans. Shower worked well and there was access to plenty of towels for both the apartment and the beach. The washer/dryer were a bonus as well as access to the main strip of restaurants in the Shores and being just 400m from the beach! I took advantage of the 25% discount for a kayak trip which was flipping brilliant! Thank you, Sharon, I had a marvellous time!

This one of our favorite places! Food, beach activities all in a 2 block area! We really enjoyed ourselves! The condo is a great place just to hang out! We had a great time! Looking forward to our next trip!

Amazing location above the Hosts' Kayak shop and within steps from numerous restaurants, cafes and bakeries. Perfect location within a couple blocks from the Beach, and a 20 min kayak ride to the La Jolla Cove and the seals. My wife and I and our teenage boys loved it. Used the complementary kayaks and gear which was a great perk. The boys slept on the blowup mattress and though they would have preferred a bed, my wife and I we were just fine : ). Would return again and again. Thank you.

Hubby and I were very happy with this VRBO rental. The pictures are spot on. The place is clean, bed and furniture are comfy. Nice windows and we didn't need the AC in the main living area; we just used in the bedroom for sleeping. Quick walk downstairs with an alley entrance to your morning coffee right next door. I took the kayak tour through the caves; note the kayak rentals are free; tours are not. Remember to ask for your 25% discount on tours (I forgot). You also get free Boogie Board rentals, that was fun. There were towels for the shower and towels for the beach. I enjoyed reading while sitting on our balcony. Would definitely rent this place again.

Great location!!! Cute coffee shop nextdoor, cozy Condo with everything you need, walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. Only complaint is parking but host warned us of this. We’d Uber if/when we stay again:)

Awesome location. Thought the couch would be a pullout...was not...but didn't matter, there were 2 decent inflatable beds, 1 single and 1 queen...so i had no problem sleeping 4...parents in the bedroom and kids on the blow-ups, but i have the same blow-up at home and wouldn't have had a problem sleeping on it. Took Sharon up on the free kayaks and surf boards...awesome perk, that makes the place a deal if you take advantage of it. Make sure you also stop in at Brick and Bell for coffee and breakfast or lunch...Best deals in the area on coffee, smoothies and scones/danishs/sandwiches and its 20 feet from the condo.

We loved having access to the surfing, kayaking and snorkeling gear! It's a fun, busy area and very walkable. The outdoor shower was a bonus so we weren't tracking sand into the home. We would definitely come back.

We loved staying in the La Jolla Shores neighborhood. There's a great beach and lots of restaurants, all in easy walking distance. The place has a lovely outdoor/private shower making beach days easy.

What an adorable little gem in la jolla! After a trip that was off to a bad start, it was wonderful to walk into a nice clean space with cute decor. It was very comfortable and we had a very nice stay!

We liked the location and the privacy (secure entry off the alley) very much. Nice to have extra towels and beach towels and coffee provided. Nice to have option for free rentals although we couldn't take advantage of that for this trip. The condo could use some minor upgrades, e.g., there's no dishwasher & we couldn't find a drying rack to dry dishes; shower curtain needs bleaching or replacing; it would be nice to have a suitcase rack or something similar to have additional place to unload luggage in bedroom (especially since dresser being used for extra linens); a small shelf in bathroom would help if two people bring toiletries.

My experience with this rental was amazing. From the location to the interior, everything was exactly what I expected. My friend and I took advantage of the equipment offered and discounted kayak tour. Started each morning with the coffee house right next door then took a short stroll through the charming streets to get to the beach. It was absolutely perfect! So glad we found this spot and will definitely stay again in the future! Thanks Susan for creating and allowing this opportunity! 💗

The unit is upstairs, light and bright. We slept very well even though trucks and cars use the alley early in the morning. The kitchen was well stocked. Most of the time we were at the beach but when we were there we found it great.

Rinsing off in the gorgeous outdoor shower after an afternoon of boogie boarding (with free boards!), sitting on the peaceful deck at night, waking up in the comfy bed to a beautiful light-filled room, the easy walk to the fantastic coffee shop and gourmet market just downstairs... it was a wonderful rental and we can't wait to go back!

Wonderful 1 bedroom/bathroom with every bell and whistle! Outdoor hot shower, private entry walkway (for beach gear, etc). Excellent communication with hosts, beautifully stocked kitchen and outdoor balcony! There is a bakery/coffee shop next door, as well as markets, dining (every type imaginable), ALL within walking distance. And of course a gorgeous beach within easy walking distance! Can not wait to return-book this place!!😍

We will be back! This is a perfect place for a couple to base their next San Diego trip. This La Jolla Shores apartment is just a short walk to the beach. This neighborhood has plenty of shops, restaurants, activities, and stores (something for everyone). The Village of La Jolla is just a mile away (and downtown SD is just a 15 minute drive). The apartment had a relaxed, coastal design and was stocked with everything travelers need. We never had a problem finding parking within a block of the apartment. We only wished that we could have stayed longer.

The Good: The owners are very friendly and laid-back. You are only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Their are several restaurants and gift-shops right on the same block. Having your own full-kitchen is awesome! The property is well stocked.with supplies. Taking advantage of the free (ocean) equipment rental is a game-changer. The Bad: The property is not as cute or as modern as the pictures suggest. Because of all the nesting birds (guano) and sea lions, the La Jolla area is a bit smelly. The beaches at La Jolla Shores and Cove have almost no wave-action for body-surfing or boogie-boarding (but are ok for kayaking).

My husband and I had a nice weekend staying in La Jolla. You are definitely paying for prime location - quick walk to the beach, hop, skip, and a jump from amazing restaurants. The unit itself was nice and cozy, perfect for us two. I felt it could have been cleaned a bit better (gunk build up around bathroom faucet) and updated (broken kitchen tile and chipped paint). The check-in process was a bit confusing as we were told to meet Sharon at her shop. When we arrived, the shop was closed but luckily her husband was there to show us the unit. Aside from that, we have a lovely time.
