** FULL RENOVATION COMPLETED 2024! Gourmet Kitchen with Unobstructed Views of the Ocean and fully renovated Pool! Villamare 1306 is simply the best on the beach. There is NO other villa complex that offers 180 degrees of views up and down (north and south) of the best beach on Hilton Head Island. There is also NO other 3 bedroom villa that is closer to the beach and the ocean anywhere on Hilton Head Island. Villamare 1306 has been completely renovated and remodeled. Extensive remodel includes moving walls to expand the living room into a bright, open and spacious area. There is a complete dining area (the stock 3 bedroom Villamares do not have a dining area that accommodates more than 4 people). All new gourmet kitchen with quartz countertops, all new and with additional Kitchen cabinetry, along with a full size washer and dryer. Other upgrades include new recessed lighting, smooth ceilings, marble flowing, wood flooring in living and dining room. There is a Flat screen TV in each bedroom, Flat Screen TV, and soundbar in the living room. The villa is designer furnished with beautiful decor in beige and blue with colorful island accent colors. ** Our Pool area is finished as well and will not disappoint. A new adult only pool and hot tub area will allow you to enjoy this beautiful location right on the ocean in a serene and peaceful way! The family friendly pool area has been completely modernized with a wonderful shallow area to allow even the youngest of children the opportunity to splash around! The landscaping has also been revamped to augment this already wonderful area. Guests can call the Palmetto Dunes Buggy service for free transportation anywhere in Palmetto Dunes or Shelter Cove. (8am – 9pm daily, operating April through September). WHY CHOOSE VILLAMARE? For Starters, it’s all about Location, Location, Location! You can literally park your car and walk to every important amenity in Palmetto Dunes. The Location of this condo is one of the best. Having 3 bedrooms for a family stay is great. However as someone who's family has owned a resort, on a beach, for the last 50 years, the cleaning crew REALLY needs improvement. All of the high touch areas were visibly dirty. The comforters on 2 of the 4 beds were stained, one had 2 blood stains on them. There was sand all over the unit upon our arrival, and there was no vacuum to clean it up.
As other's mentioned, there was 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom and 1 garbage bag - no dish or laundry pods. But that is the norm for most rentals, so we came prepared for that.
There was an alarming amount of mold in the property. I'm aware that in that climate, and especially at the end of the season, it may be difficult to keep at bay when you have tenants who leave the doors open or don't wipe down walls, but that is where a better cleaning company would be a necessity. This is our 4th time staying at Villamare, at this time of year, and none of the other units we've stayed at had that kind of mold. The showers also had orange mold that needed a good scrub. For someone who is sensitive to mold, I would recommend a different property. For us, we only slept there and had breakfast at the rental, most of the other times, we were out on the island, at the beach, or at the pool. A+ location. The property's condition wouldn't stop me from staying there in the future, but it is still something I think other's should be prepared for.

The location was excellent. We loved the location of the unit with it’s easy access to everything. It’s not our first time staying at Villamare and/or other similar units in Palmetto Dunes, but our first time renting with VRBO. Our only complaint is that due to mechanical/technical problems, we did not have the use of the microwave oven and clothes dryer our entire stay. Thus making things somewhat inconvenient but not unbearable.

We had a good stay at this property. Overall great layout for two families (we had 5 kids and 4 adults and it worked out ok). Everything was clean, although the unit could use a vacuum for sand and some cosmetic issues existed in the kitchen, but unit was priced appropriately. The only things I would suggest is to remove any remodeling extra paint/supplies from the bathroom cabinets to give room to guests, and to give guests heads up that we owe $25 per car upon arrival. Great property, access to beach etc, though.

Property was great - however the listing said we get a 20% discount on bikes at a local bike rental place - they told us they know nothing about that - so we did not get a 20% discount - the coffee pot stopped working with one day left - so we did not report that - overall experience was really good

Property was great and in a great location. 9 women on our trip. We were provided one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, one garbage bag and no beach towels or laundry detergent. I contacted the owner on day 2 of our 7 night stay and he never replied back or brought more supplies. So just know that you are on your own once you get there.

Accommodations were great. Some minor repairs I made ower aware of and he said they are to be addressed in near future. Overall, great location, great communication with owner, & would rent again given the opportunity.

We very much enjoyed our 17 days at this great oceanfront condo. You can't beat the views, and the unit is very well appointed. Since we were there with our three granddaughters, the Pack-N-Play beds were very helpful and the beach and pool toys were enjoyed. As noted in other posts, the kitchen is a bit small, but is very well stocked with everything needed. There was no vacuum in the unit, so if you plan to stay for long periods, I suggest you bring one as the sand is hard to keep up with from being tracked in from the beach. I highly recommend this unit and will stay there again myself.

We’ve stayed at different condos in Villamare this is now a favorite. Location to pool and beach very convenient. As a party of 6 it was nice to have 3 bathrooms. The use of outdoor grills came in handy to cook the fish we caught.

Condo was old looking. Main rug in living area worn and turning up at edges causing tripping over. Furniture dirty/stained. Screen on sliding glass doors broke or totally off hinges.

Condo has amazing views. We used covered balcony everyday, it was so relaxing. The kitchen was smaller then in the pictures, but we made it work. Minor inconveniences: elevator was down till Friday, painting was done outside our door & stairway. We would gladly book this condo again but it’s booked for the next couple of years.

Two of the three bedrooms had a patio with a small table and two chairs. I'm an early riser so enjoyed sitting out watching the sun rise every morning. I could get use to starting every day that way for sure. We went out for dinner all except one night, bought seafood at a local market and cooked dinner in the well equipped kitchen. I always bring my chef's knife when travelling but everything else I needed to cook dinner was there. We had an issue with the TVs not working when we got there so I texted the owner, Nathan, who called me immediately to help me fix the issue. He was helpful, kind and patient with me. I would 100% stay here again!

No complaints on the condo, none of the mold mentioned in previous reviews and we made the pots and pans work when needed but there are so many great restaurants across the street and down the road that it was hard to stay inside.

The location is fantastic. The condo had some problems. Every ceiling in the condo had what appeared to be a black substance growing on it, especially around the exhaust fans in the bathrooms. Cooking was a challenge. The skillets were in poor condition. There wasn’t a pot big enough to coolly pasta. We eat on most meals and these thing caused a problem for us. The furnishings were nice.

We have been coming to HHI for the past 5 years and we love Villamare. This was our first time in a 3 bedroom and this one was perfect. It had everything that fit 3 generations for a great week at the beach. Views and space was amazing. There is some mold in the master bathroom that needs to be addressed ASAP and some near a few vents. As long as that is corrected, we'll definitely be back.

This property is close to everything. Palmetto Dunes tennis and pickle ball facilities are great. Renting bikes is the best way to get around. This property has excellent views from three separate balconies! We will come back again!

Pros: Location of condo is phenomenal. The overall set up with three separate rooms with full baths is great. Having 3 balconies is a huge plus as well. Parking at the facility is plentiful at all hours. Pool is well kept and easily accessible.
Cons: Communication could've been easier with just a one sheet that contains parking instructions, Wi-Fi, etc. Having to message/call the owner for these details is just an extra task. The LowSea Bike Rental does not provide any discount for this property as stated in the description, but they seemingly always have a "special" going on so it was okay. We arrived at Check-In time, but cleaning staff was not done until 4:30PM and did an average job...candy wrappers, Q-Tips, a pair of socks were some of the items we found just out on the floor. Noise was an issue in the room with two double beds as the room is right by the exterior steps. That being said, Villamare is a family friendly place with plenty of kids so noise is to be expected.
Overall I rated 4 stars as these issues did not hamper our vacation and we had a great time. However, they could be easy fixes in the future.

We had a very good stay, this is our second time at this unit and with the exception of our party getting to large for this unit we would definitely use this rental again.
