About this house rental
Our amenity filled Lake House Retreat is located in the picturesque Pocono Mountains. Whether you are looking to get away from the busy city life to come relax or you are looking for some outdoor adventures, you have come to the right place! Our home is surrounded by all the outdoor activities you may come to expect from the Pocono Mountains. There is something to do no matter the season, from water parks in summertime to ski slopes in winter and our home has all the amenities to make you feel like at your home. Enjoy BBQing on the spacious deck overlooking Lake Carobeth with your family or friends, lounging on a hammock and drinking some wine. You can take kayaks or a canoe out from private dock. In the winter keep worm by 2 fireplaces while playing pool or chess. You can visit indoor water parks: Kalahari, Great Wolf Lodge, Aquatopia, H2Ooh-all within minutes from our house. You can go skiing at nearby Camelback, Blue Mountain Resort, or Jack Frost -Big Boulder Mountain. If you want to go gambling or dance, here is Mount Airy Casino, if you want a nice dinner out Desaki is a must or one of the restaurants at Mt Airy. You may also take a round of golf or go horseback riding. If you like a bargain, you could spend the day at the Crossings Premium Outlets or go antiquing. If you are into hiking you may want to visit Bushkill Falls-the "Niagara Falls" of the Poconos. The famous Pocono Raceway is within reasonable distance. The community tons of amenities for kids and adults. You may cook at home as our kitchen is fully equipped, or go to one of the tons of fast food/chain restaurants: Chilli's, Red Robin, Olive Garden, Red Lobster. You can go to enjoy other local restaurants: Desaki (Japanese), Bailey's Steak House, Pocono Brewery Pub, Smuggler's Cove (seafood) and many more. Sorry but our house is for non-smokers and No Pets Allowed! Minimum age limit for renters is 24. We hope, you will love our home as much as we do!

The house was amazin.

You can read all the other positive reviews about this house, and I can tell you they are all true! A lot of nice outdoor seating options, a working hot tub, a pool table - plus a dock to fish from. The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we needed. BBQ grill worked great. Lastly, the property is also laid out well re the neighbors. No one too close and it’s pretty private. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful family vacation at the lakefront property. The home offers more amenities than other lakefront sites, including the private dock, canoe/kayaks, covered hot tub and sitting area. It offers the best balance of indoor/outdoor activities, perfect for this era's unpredictable weather. We'd consider staying again and trying a different season. The community is quiet and was within easy driving distance of all the essentials. Hosts were very responsive and made everything incredibly easy for us.

The property was amazing! The house was comfortable & clean and the yard is well done. The kids loved the various games in the home and being able to swim in the lake and take the canoe out right from the backyard. Adults enjoyed the hot tub at night. Wildlife is a plenty!
My daughter has already asked to return to this property next summer :)

This house is beautiful and was a perfect place for our family vacation! The deck overlooking the lake, peaceful and pretty, great for our son in laws to fish, the kayaks and canoe that were provided was awesome, the little sandy area by the water, perfect for our grandchildren to play, there were games and toys in the house which was also so nice to have for the younger ones and the covered area outside was perfect for sitting when it rained. We also had the luxury of watching 4 th of July fireworks right from the deck over the lake! Everything about this place was perfect! The only reason I gave it a 4 was because the hot tub wasn’t working. Also the check in process was a bit chaotic it that was because of the 4th of July holiday and the people were so nice, but the line was very long. I’m sure it’s not that crazy if it’s not a holiday. The hosts were so nice and texted us a couple times to make sure everything was okay and very apologetic about the hot tub situation. Being a holiday it wasn’t possible to get someone there to repair it. Nevertheless we loved the house and hope to return again next summer! Also, there are fun things to do nearby, we enjoyed Camel Beach outdoor water park, Bushkill Falls and animal petting zoo all close by. There are also stores close by as well for anything you need, Walmart and shop Rite less than 30 mins away. A perfect place and a wonderful family vacation ❤️

Fantastic property and amenities
Clean throughout and lots of space with different rooms, many with TV in them
Views are great, can see Lake from hot tub right in front of you
Kitchen well equipped
Pool table and dart board and many board games to spend time playing

Our stay at the Pocono country place was relaxing and restorative. The home was clean and comfortable, accommodating, and filled with great activities. The home is right on the lake, and filled with games, grilling equipment, water-side lounging, and a great spot for camp fires. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly and located near several state parks. Perfect for a relaxing stay in the beautiful PA countryside!

Wonderful Pocono lake house
This house was an excellent spot for our vacation. The owners were very easy to communicate with and the property was in great condition. We enjoyed the kayaks and canoe, the pool table, and beautiful view from the deck.

Very Peaceful
The lake was beautiful and great to fish from the dock. The house location is very quiet and peaceful. Janine was lovely, she was very informative and had great communication.
The kitchen could use some updated pots/pans, but the house was very clean and very well maintained. Overall, we had a wonderful stay! Thank you Janine!

We recently stayed at this house for MLK weekend with another family. The house was easy to get to, great location for both camelback and kalahari, very clean, and comfortable. There was so much to do, even in the winter. The owners were great to work with and made the rental process very easy. The only thing of note is that the the second bedroom on the Main floor is a double bed, not a queen. We all had so much fun, It didn’t make a difference!

A Great Week on the Lake
This house had everything we needed to enjoy a lake house vacation whether inside or out. Very scenic, clean lake with great fishing.

A great recess place for family vacation!
Pros:
First, the lake.
My family had a wonderful time; teens & child swimming, adults doing kayaks & canoe.
Second, the nature.
We saw many wild animals such as deer, snake, fish, bird, except bear.
Third, food shopping.
There are Walmart & ShopRite within 15 min from the house by car. We had no problem for food shopping.
Fourth, entertainment.
We played pocket billiards & board games located at the basement of the house.
Cons:
Basement floor is almost under ground from the front of house and above ground from the back of house due to the slope of lot. We had no problem with humidity since dehumidifier did a good job provided by the house. I wish the interior color of basement may be brighter matching with my vacation spirit.
No dryer and washer was available for short-term rental.

My family recently stayed at this house and found the accommodations to be exactly as described, which were fantastic. The owners Janine and Julian were very courteous, accommodating, very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The lake was beautiful and we used the owner's kayaks several times. Fishing, swimming right off the dock, and floating in tubes was relaxing and fun for the small children. Amenities were excellent including 3 TV's, a pool table, darts and games for rainy days. Large wrap-around deck with easy access to the lake made our outdoor time very enjoyable. We also spent one afternoon at the community pool which was fantastic for the children. Between the wonderful accommodations and the thoughtful and considerate home owners, this was a place my family will be sure to come back to again in future summers.

Relaxing stay in the Poconos
Property was lovely with lots of wildlife. Had a great visit with family.
Location on the lake was nice. Provided personal watercraft were a nice plus to have included. The nightly visits from the deer at dusk excited adults and kids alike. Having fires in the fire-pit were always a great way to wind down the day. Lots of shade which was appreciated.
Note: the check in process requires you to go to a central office and can take a bit of time and sometimes is quite crowded. When we visited the property did not access to the public sandy beach (the house itself does have its own private beach) and the pool was closed due to COVID.
Overall we had a great week. We were able to escape the heat and reconnect with family.
Would recommend this property for those looking for a quiet week on a lake in a central location on the east coast.

Great Family Vacation
We had 8 adults and 2 children in our party and this house was perfect for everyone. The pool table was great for the kids. We all enjoyed the lake with the canoe and kayaks provided. Everything was clean and tidy. We would definitely rent here again.

Peaceful heaven!
We had an amazing family vacation at the lake. The home owners were very easy to deal with and gave us privacy. It was really nice family bonding time. The house was very clean and comfortable. The boats, firepit and lake were well used and loved by our kids. The community has a beautiful playground and the paddle boats and mini golf included were such a nice perk! The only issue we had was that the house had no a/c, which we were not aware of in advance. The temperature in the Poconos does not get too hot so many houses do not have a/c, but being that it rained a bit it got pretty humid. We were very happy we chose to stay at this charming property.

Great experience and property was nice, clean and plenty of space for our party of 10.
The owners made the experience easy and with the house being right on the lake, the views were great. Kayak and canoe on sight for some morning and evening fishing. Pool table, bar and large tv kept us entertained.
