Amazing for beach goers and very calm

The hotel staff are very nice, and very helpful, you have the option to get breakfast at the reception if you didn’t book it prior to arrival. We didn’t because we wanted to have brunch out during our stay. We stayed for 4 nights, they clean the room and would change towels whenever you want them to. They cleaned our rooms around 2 pm so keep it in mind of you go in and out of the hotel several times like we do, but maybe other rooms are before, but this didn’t interrupt our room cleaning. The hotel is very close to the beach and around 20 to 30 min away by transport from all attractions in Barcelona. We found the easiest to do is walk 7 min to Poblenau station and take L4 almost everywhere with different connections.

OK overall, but I was expecting larger room and better facilities quality.

Breakfast and location

There are no electric sockets near the bed which is at least strange in 2024 when everyone has to charge their phones overnight. The parking door was not working with a magnet card and I had to go all the way around the building each time I have arrived by car to ask for a remote to open it. The magnet card keys to the rooms have been stopping working each day - again, each time I arrived I had to re-code them.

Le petit déjeuner agréable

l’emplacement, on a pas pris le parking malheureusement on nous a cassé la vitre de notre voiture qui était garé dans la rue de l’hôtel, le personnel était désagréable et ne fessait aucun effort pour nous comprendre, ne mérite pas les 4 étoiles.

The staff was wonderful and ready to help if we needed anything.

The hotel room was fresh and clean with not a hint of dust anywhere. The bedding was crisp and freshly pressed. There were 2 beautiful luxury robes and slippers provided as well. There was a nice bottle of water in the room every day. There was even a refrigerator. Now the breakfast! This hotel provided the most beautiful breakfast I have ever had at any hotel I have ever stayed at. We were served fresh fruits, a variety of fresh baked breads, cereals, eggs, meats, fresh juices, a variety of coffees, teas, and waters. Everything was awesome. The location was perfect as well because it is across the street from the most beautiful beach in Barcelona. Everything was within walking distance from the hotel: shopping, restaurants, and a Pharmacy was just steps away.

The hotel could have done better by opening up the outdoor patio so the guests could sit under the umbrellas at the tables and read or listen to music while watching the children playing on the playground, Also, the playground "park" was also the dog park. But I did notice that the dog parents did pick up after their dogs.

Micul dejun absolut delicios. Curatenie in camere. Personal dragut.

Departe de aproape tot. Este frumos ca este aproape de mare, dar este departe de orice punct de atractie. Plaja principala este departe. Mijloacele de transport disponibile din zona nu sunt foarte variate.

Hotel hesperia del Mar

Chambre et salle de bain spacieuses, balcon avec vue sur mer, clim. Cafetière, bouilloir, bouteille d'eau à disposition et petit frigo. Très grand lit confortable, serviette de toilette de qualité. Proche de la mer. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié. Personnel très sympathique. Possibilité de louer une place de parking privé.

Proximité grand axe routier, bruyant. Prix de la place de parking un peu élevé.

Take your towel , cross the street and enjoy the beach :)

Very clean , friendly staff, nice bathroom , windows to open , very very close to the beach and places to eat and drink .

Was no plug next to the bed to charge the phones

Very friendly receptionists. Four cafes close to the hotel. The beach is close, but not private,without umbrellas.

The room needs renovation. Problems in bathroom with sink. Bed not so comfortable.

A bit expensive but a good location for the Primavera Festival

Room was a good size, nice and bright with big windows which I was able to open to get fresh air. Bed was big and comfy and I also had a room fridge which I really like so I can store water, beer and soft drinks in it

The room was quite expensive, because there was a music festival (Primavera) nearby. Shower was quite low pressure so it was a hassle to use, and taps were a little loose

Disappointed, uncomfortable and hot bedroom.

The property is relatively close to a metro station, there are supermarkets, nice restaurantes, and bus stop nearby. The staff is also nice.

The air conditioner was awful, not working at all. I spent 5 days there without a proper sleep. I woke up many times in the night sweating. The bed was big, but not comfortable, I could feel the springs poking my ribs. The TV was old and small, and right after arriving I asked to change my pillowcases, as they were dirty.

Excellent staff. Friendly and knowledgeable.

Over all ok, but not 4*

Location is very good. 5/8 min walk to the beach. Staff is very very good, polite, smiling and professional. Rooms are very clean, with comfortable beds. Safe with in the room and has his own underground parking spaces. Very good selection of breakfast buffet.

Not a 4* It operates as bed & breakfast. Restaurant not open for lunch or dinner. Bar is not operating, so only option, for evening dinner or drinks option is outside the hotel. Had I known this, probably would not have booked this hotel. Bedroom deco little outdated & if you look carefully some maintenance touch is needed.

Comfortable stay in a well run hotel

staff were exceptional - very good front of house and so helpful in the breakfast eating area. Bed was a good size and very comfortable soft pillows. Good size bathroom with soft towels. Great variety at breakfast and replenished regularly with hot fresh produce. Close to local buses and metro links.

would have liked drinking water and coffee making facilities standard rather than only available in superior rooms

No frills, slightly overpriced, did not meet expectations

The ocean view and breakfast were great!

Rooms seemed dated and lacked attention to detail in cleanliness in areas like the bathroom, around the vents and along the corners of the floor. Electrical outlets were not next to the bed and we noticed that the coffee makers in the rooms don’t have the correct pods, so they don’t work. The televisions are old. Towels seemed to be improperly laundered.

Superb

The location was great - 3 minutes from the beach, 10-15 minutes from the metro station. A lot of supermarkets around. It was always quite around the hotel but a lot of activity happening on the beach like runners, cyclists, there was a football pitch where athletes were training etc. The room however was super small, there only room for one person to walk between the bed and the wall. It was being cleaned everyday which was super nice.
