I had a very nice stay at Hotel Langlois. The hotel is in a lovely neighborhood, conveniently located close to many areas of Paris. The room was spacious, and the staff, as well as the hotel director, were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. I would happily recommend this hotel!

The shower is basic, didn't drain that well but didn't impact our stay.

The location was excellent. There are various transport links nearby (Metro, RER, bus). The breakfast was the same all three days, but it was good enough for a city break.
The rooms have very poor soundproofing. You can hear all the neighbors above, below, and to the sides. You can hear every neighbor going to the bathroom or, worse, every footstep from the neighbors upstairs or in the hotel hallway, because the flooring is made of wood. We understand the building's history, which is why we gave such a high rating, but we couldn't sleep well at all. On top of that, the cleaning service starts at 6 or 7 in the morning, and as I mentioned, you can hear everything. You wouldn't want to know what the cleaning lady's vacuum cleaner sounds like at 6 a.m.

Old world building and great location. Lots of towels.
paint peeling in the bathroom, plastic shower curtain, very hot room, filthy balcony with cobwebs(so we were afraid to open the window to let fresh air in), dirty corners and molding. Dirty power strip and outlet filthy. Water was yellow when I first tried to take a bath with an added bonus of a water bug/beetle showing up. Hotel needs an overdo!
