Alles war sehr schön. Der Pool war wie ein Privatpool und unsere Kinder hatten eine super Zeit. Der Manager war sehr bemüht und hat uns alles für einen perfekten Aufenthalt geboten.
Alles war perfekt

A 5 star hotel at hostel pricing,
The photos do not do this place justice at all!
If you’re looking at places to stay, you really need to book this place.
Everything about it was truly beautiful and truly inspiring,
The courtyard, the swimming pool, the room, the service and the staff. All of it was impeccable.
I can’t say there was anything particular.
We have two showers outside which was wonderful, however, one of them could do with a little sprucing up.

Booked last minute and arrived late - staff were super accommodating and arranged everything safari related for us!

location by the river is fantastic, rooms are beautiful and the toilets and bathrooms are special with the inside and outdoor shower
the staff struggled to keep up with the dining service at times but do try hard and eventually deliver

Our stay was very good. The rooms are very spacious, the bed is very comfortable, the showers are really very good and the room has a balcony overlooking the garden/river. The pool is excellent.
The Wifi worked poorly at times, and sometimes communication with the staff was a bit complicated. Likewise, they were always very kind to us.

Absolutely loved this venue - I only stayed one night and wish I could have stayed longer. The room was beautiful and SO spacious and comfortable, with a huge modern bathroom and shower. We had both breakfast and dinner there and it was absolutely delicious. The view of the river is mesmerising and the staff were so helpful! Loved relaxing by the large pool after a long journey. They also arranged a guided tour for the morning and it was magical. All in all, 10/10 and would go back in a heartbeat for a few days for sure.

The staff here were so helpful, they organised a day tour of Udawalawe National Park and were on hand to help us with anything that we needed. The room was very nice and comfortable too!

Property is beautifully built with lot of greeneries and a swimming pool.
Family Room size is big with balcony.
Toilet was clean and big.
Cook Thilina served us some tasty food and care taker Dinusha ensured we had a comfortable stay. Both staff are courteous and provided good customer service.
We extended our stay by one more night. Tourist places like the Dam, Elephant National park and elephant orphanage are within 20 to 30mins driiving distance. Hotel organises these visits at nominal rate.
The Air Conditioning in family room during the day is bit less, probably because the room size is big and climate was hot in March end. Would suggest to have 02 AC units or a higher tonnage AC unit.
Evening time room was cool enough to have good sleep.

Friendly staff, showed us the transit home for baby elephants, shuttle service included- really astonishing/amazing. We had a safari to the national park organized by the hostel, too. Easy, inexpensive and familiar.

We came to Udawalawe for the Elephant safari. We were surprised with this place. The pool and the garden give the jungle vibes, and it has a clean and simple design.
The staff told us we were the first guests in a long time and they did their best to have it ready for us. We asked for lunch, dinner and beers and everything was taken cared of while we went to the safari.
We spent the next morning in the pool and although we only stayed for one night was totally worth it.

Our main reason to come to Eliyanth was the safari in Udawalawe. We can really recommend the place for this, because of the proximity to the national park and most of all because of the amazing safari guide. But not only that, the hotel itself is really beautiful. Our room had a nice view on the river, an outdoor shower and was really clean. We also liked the dining area as it also overlooks the river. The pool is large and clean.
We had a really nice time at Eliyanth and would definitely recommend the place.
PS: You have to try the pineapple and lemon mint juices. Those were the best we have ever had.

We loved our stay here! The team who runs this hotel are fantastic. They will do anything to make sure your stay is a positive one. The safari was booked through the hotel and it was amazing , we did the 6am morning slot.
It was such a shame the power cuts were happening everyday due to the fuel crisis . They had a generator so we had constant electricity but we didn’t have water at some times due to the tanks not being able to fill as they needed the mains electric. This wasn’t the hotel fault but just something to be aware of if your planning a visit.

-Beautiful location set amongst lush greenery with the sound of nature all around
- Beds are comfortable
- Rooms are well appointed and tastefully decorated
- Clean and large pool
- Excellent and very organized trip to Udawalawe national park
This is a tricky review as Sri Lanka is facing such challenges at the moment with power outages most of the day. This is not the fault of the property but I do feel that they are just not well-equipped in any way to deal with this or reassure guests. We had no water for much of our 2 night stay which they said was down to no power (??) which meant we couldn’t even flush the toilet or take a shower. That, along with no power (they have a generator but didn’t have the resources to keep it going during the outages) made for a very disappointing stay. At no point we’re we given explanations or reassured. The staff just looked and answered gormlessly when asked about it.
Also, I found the food pretty basic and I’m not a fussy eater at all.
That said, this is a very reasonably priced place to stay and I have no doubt that as soon as things are back to normal, this will be a perfect place to stay to explore the area. I sincerely hope that this is soon as I do feel for them all.

The pool is really cool, the breakfast was good and the staff was very supportive with all the questions, the organized safari was great as well.
During the current crisis in Sri Lanka power cuts are happening daily, which is fine, but nobody told us that sometimes when the power comes back the breaker is turned off and you have to turn it on manually. Therefore we were in both rooms without electricity until midnight and the second room until next morning. I'd suggest to share this information with all guests.

We all had a lovely time, but it is remote and lots of mosquitoes

We had stayed here before and liked both the rooms and the location. The food was fine and the staff were pleasant.
The place could do with a deep clean from top to bottom - and basic maintenance and repairs. We will not return.

Very friendly staff and good breakfast. Good location inside the park - we were able to be picked up by the safari jeep at 6 and made it into the park quickly. Beautiful candlelight dinner during power cut.

Lovely place to relax, great staff who can't do enough for you. We wanted bread, so they went the shop, we wanted a bottle of wine so the guy went the shop for us. Pool was great, safari was great. Room was large and the bed was comfortable. Great shower pressure and hot water. Nice and quiet too. The guys also took us for a little walk around the local area which was so kind of them, we will never forget this place and will recommend to all
There was nothing we didnt like

Wow! So far this hotel was our most beautiful place to stay in sri lanka! It is in the middle of the national park and the room was very large and beautiful. We liked the huge pool the best! The breakfast was delicious and so was our lunch and dinner! The staff was very courteous and they organized a great safari trip and a visit to the elephant orphanage.

Nice staff although english bareer was a bit of a problem. The room was spacious, beautiful and charming, in the middle of the jungle. Well cleaned and modern. Comfy beds
We did a 4h safari organised by the host and it was worth it!
Breakfast was ok.
Dinner was good but expensive.
Unfortunately we were unlucky that night because the hosts and some local guests decides to party very loud and play instruments and sing until quite late in the night. It was midnight and I couldn't fall asleep. That was disrespectful for the guests that were looking just for a quite place to rest.

Beautiful property, probably the best in the area.
The renovated rooms were amazing, but some rooms were clearly older and that showed.

The Team was very helpful and gentle, the room was nicely Designer and from the balcony we saw a crocodile, Monkeys and many birds. As we moved from a very dirty place, we were lucky the place was clean.
No Mosquito net and breakfast is very very Basic.

Good place to stay in short driving distance to both the Udawalawe Safari Park Entrance and Elephant Sanctuary. Very friendly safari guide which can be easily organised through the hotel.
The place itself has a lovely pool, good rooms and nice food.
It was a bit tired, but hard to tell whether this is reflective of the hotel or still the fallout from covid-19 given that the place was pretty empty of guests.
