The property was clean and beautifully decorated. There was a gorgeous separate small kitchen and dining area. The property was within walking distance of restaurants and shops and right near the Tiber river. Costantino was very helpful with giving us information about where to eat and what to do in the area. Our plane did not leave until later in the day and he allowed us to leave our bags there until we were leaving. The airport was about a 5 minute drive and we were able to organise a shuttle through Costantino. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Il Piccolo.

The host was very easy to communicate with. He scheduled a car to pick us up from the train station and another one to take us to the airport. He was very nice when we arrived, helped us carry our heavy bags up the stairs, provided some water and juice for us and offered to make us a light breakfast (sandwich and fruit) before our early morning flight.

It was a little weird sharing a living room and kitchen with another renter but since we were only staying there for the night before our flight the next morning, it was fine. I wouldn't want this set up for a longer stay.

Location very close to airport. Continental breakfast was well done.

Cost of transfer for 5 minute trip from airport ..perhaps owners could consider offering a free transfer or shuttle

Quick drive from the airport. Very secure residence and comfortable. Room was small but AC worked well and the small bathroom was more than adequate.

Wish it were closer to a good dining facility. Bit of a walk to get downtown where most of the restaurants are.

Il Piccolo was our overnight stop before flying out of Roma airport the next day. It is a charming B&B that more than met our needs. Room was compact, but fully functional with quiet air co, shower, shampoo etc. Room was so quiet despite being about 10 minutes from the airport. All I ever heard was the birdlife of which there were many. Breakfast was a delight with cereal, croissants, juices, yoghurt, fruit, toast, sandwiches and more. I had a freshly made cappuccino and my partner, tea. Absolutely recommend if you need an overnight stay near the airport..

Nice host with amazing room. Facilities were perfect. We got packed breakfast as we have to leave early morning. Every item was of god quality. Only have to take taxi if flight is early morning or night.

Cab from and to airport is pricey for an 8 min drive

The accommodation was well-presented, up-to-date and exceptionally clean. Non-alcoholic drinks and biscuits were provided, and if we wished to cook for ourselves, the small kitchen could be used to produce a simple meal. We did not wish to cook so the owners directed us to the local restaurant area which was about 15-20 minutes walk away (helpfully, a map was also provided). There was a great selection of different restaurants available and there were many locals out and about enjoying a lovely evening walking along the canal/river which went out to the local beach. As our flight was very early, we needed to depart before breakfast. However, Il Piccolo provided us with a small breakfast to take away.

Getting to and from Il Piccolo was not straightforward. I thought Il Piccolo was closer to Fiumicino international airport than it turned out to be. Nonetheless, Il Piccolo organised a driver to collect us from the train station and then take us to the airport the next morning. This cost 20 euros each way, so that needs to be factored into the cost of staying. In addition, I thought we had booked the entire apartment to ourselves so I was surprised to find that we were sharing with another couple. In the end it didn't matter much as we didn't see them or hear them but it did mean we locked ourselves into our room in the evening and didn't place anything in the common space.
