About this cabin rental
Nestled in Dorrington, this lovely cabin for $336 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Kids Paradise (Whatever Your Age!) 2 night minimum stay. Sleeps 8. This home has 2 Bedrooms plus a split loft and 2 Baths. Both bedrooms are on the ground floor, each with Queen size bed. Back left bedroom has a 50" Smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, HBO (All internet compatible - no Comcast cable to this TV). The other bedroom has a TV with cable/Netflix/DVD player. Split loft upstairs has 2 Twins and a Queen bed on one side, and 2 twins and a trundle bed on the other side, along with a Pool Table, Foosball Table, Dart Board and 55” Smart TV, Stereo. The kitchen is well stocked and has a Keurig which makes both regular coffee and uses pods. Great room also has a 55” Smart TV, and a wood stove. Home offers cable TV/DVD, a very large DVD movie library, free US phone access, large deck with a charcoal BBQ (Guests should bring their own charcoal). Yard provides a great play area for kids of all ages with zip-line, a Slack Line for low level tight roping, tree fort/deck, horseshoe pit and hammock! A portable baby crib available upon request. Some winter snow play toys also for guest use. Well behaved dogs allowed upon Owner Approval - 2 dog maximum. No smoking. Bed linens and towels included. Only minutes from Bear Valley Ski Resort, Lake Alpine, Spicer Reservoir, and Calaveras Big Trees State Park. There's something to do year-round! Access Information: You will receive check-in instructions, including your access code for entry, 2-4 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. Please be sure to check your junk/spam email, as sometimes these instructions end up there. Pet Policy: Well-behaved and housebroken dogs welcomed, but must not be left alone (must be over 1 year old - max 2 dogs) with $50 non-refundable pet fee (please include in your reservation notes how many pets you're bringing, max 2). Audio/visual cameras are on site (exterior only). Tenant must be at least 25 years old to rent. Communication: Property management will contact tenant by their preferred method of communication (personal email, text, etc.) to send a required rental agreement, check-in instructions, etc. Payment (where applicable): A 2% surcharge (of the total transaction amount) will be added to your transaction charges when your credit card is charged. Upon booking, $300, plus the c/c fee, is due immediately and is charged to the credit card on file. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival (if you are booking a stay that is sooner than 30 days from the booking date, the full amount is due immediately & will be charged to your card on file). We will accept payment by check for the final payment, as long as your arrival date is further out than 45 days. If you wish to pay by check, please email our office immediately to advise us NOT to charge your card on file for the final payment. Please note that if your check is not received by the 30 day mark, your credit card on file will be charged, regardless of previous arrangement. All payments are due in full 30 days prior to your arrival.

We had so much fun playing in the snow. This place was great for our 3 year old. So many activities for the whole family.

Family of 5, we had a great time in the cabin. The pool table, foosball table were big family hits. The wrap-around deck was great for morning coffee and night time s'mores. The hammock was great, looking up at the tree-tops. Just a lot to do to keep entertained. The only complaint would be that the dishwasher does not seem to work.....I mean it moves water around, but at the end, dishes are dirty, and habe to be washed by hand. Other than that, we had a great time!

We thought it was extremely easy to select, rent, communicate and check-in to this property. The cabin was all we were hoping it would be and more. The rental company and cabin owners made us feel welcome and at home. The surrounding area was absolutely gorgeous compared to other areas in the Sierras. If this rental is ever up for sale - we would be serious buyers.

Great location, ideal summer cabin for a family looking to spend some quality time together. I was happy with alevrything about the rebtal with the exception of the garbage situation. Due to the disposal site being closed for two days, we were forced to store our garbage inside and despite our best attempts, the smell was hard to cover. I recommend possibly renting a secure dumpster for those having big extended time frames in which the disposal site is closed.

This was a great place to ride out the late season winter storm. The cabin was comfortable, plenty roomy for our family and well stocked. The kids loved the loft and spent hours playing pool and foosball. The DVD collection was unparalleled. Highly recommend.

I visited with my daughter,son-in-law and 3 grandchildren (15 year old boy and girl twins) and 8 year old little sister. Everyone found games, and activities they enjoyed doing. Cabin was great! Accurate description. It was clean, although carpet could use shampooing. Reservations was easy. Managers were helpful and professional. Beautiful lakes, rivers for fishing. Big Trees State park was wonderful highlight of weekend! Definitely will recommend to friends.

The house had everything you could want with kids on a Labor Day forest getaway. We played in the yard, the play room, and watched a movie. We somehow also made time to visit the big trees and swim in the pool. Beds were pretty comfortable.
This was my first cabin rental experience, so I was surprised by a couple of things:
-linens and towels were provided as extras (had to ask) and smelled strongly of detergent and fabric softener.
-While the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pans, and dishes, the drawers and cabinets were dirty and disorganized. Maybe that’s normal for a cabin?
-There was some Folgers coffee in the cabinet, but not enough for our whole stay. No sugar was found. I think coffee and sugar should be a standard amenity.
-The carpets and floors were not clean enough for a shoes-off policy.
-Dishwasher has come loose from the cabinet/countertop, so you had to wiggle it in place to close the door.
-Back slider has a loose up/down lock mechanism, which makes it possible to lock yourself out.
-Mattresses are old and worn. Still okay, but not like a hotel.

Thank you for sharing your cabin with us! All 3 of my kiddos (13, 11 and 5) loved the cabin. We spent a lot of time playing in the yard on the ziplines. We also loved the pool table and dart board. I especially loved the fireplace and all the wood that was available for us to use. The check in and check out process was super easy. We drove 30 mins into Murphys one day (super cute downtown area) and 30 mins in the other direction to play in the snow the next day. Totally perfect trip.

This was our second visit - we love the cabin! The game room is so much fun for kids and adults, and we enjoyed the back yard zip lines too. Interior is somewhat dated but very comfortable for a winter getaway. Dismayed by lack of tea kettle and condition of pots and pans, but no big deal. We'd love to return if the rate is reasonable, but it is creeping up. Thank you for a fun stay, we hope to come back!

We stayed at this cabin at the New Year and we liked this place very much. The house is clean and spacious with a wonderful playroom in the loft. Nice and comfy beds in the bedrooms and in the sleeping area in the loft. We could not check the backyard and the surroundings, there was a lot of snow. There's a small shop with essential goods and a nice bar nearby, a bigger grocery store plaza in 15 miles. 30 minutes drive to Bear Valley to ski. Property management is very nice and helpful. Wonderful house close to beautiful Sierra trails
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in the house. The house has fantastic collection of movies, HBO, billiards table and fooseball table, lots of options to be entertained. The adventure park in the backyard is so fun. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare Thanksgiving dinner. We went hiking to Alpine lake Inspiration point which we highly recommend and a wonderful trail Sourgrass 15min near by the house. This was a trip to remember.

I wish the cabin was cleaned better though. There were layers of dust on furniture in every room and being allergic to dust it bothered me a lot.

Summer get away
Fully enjoyed all aspects of stay. Place was clean and kitchen had everything we needed including a decent spice selection, baggies, foil etc. love the deck and did not make as much use of the backyard as I had thought we would be use we spent so much time exploring Big Trees and Lake Alpine. Love the pool table and upstairs area. Take the advice about closing all windows and curtains when we leaving for the day(we were there during a heat wave) and you will be pleased. Overall great place.

Cabin was clean, only downfall is no AC going during summer it was super hot. We did spend the day at the lake so we cooled off nicely. Zipline was a hit with the kids and it is dog friendly.

First off, my family of 5 (3 children under the age of 10) travel frequently and this cabin is among our top 5 rentals. This place was so family friendly, clean and organized! Everything was labeled so there was no guess work as to what went where or what switch turned the lights on etc. There was plenty of activities for the kids AND adults. Shelia, the property manager was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. The appliances may be a little dated, but everything works and we had zero issues. For the price, comfort, and location we can’t wait to come back!!
