Not as expected, bed wasn’t comfortable, room doesn’t smell fresh, cleaning was not good, not worth it. Worst hotel experience ever.

location is central and easy to park. I travel a lot for work - the beds were ok - but for close to $500 a night - the property was not at the standard i'd expect. it is old and tired.

staff at the registration were slow and not attentive; hotel needs a 'refresh'.

Great location, good food and friendly staff.

Location was great and breakfast was excellent. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer and checked out the area a bit more.

Great location but not great everything else

No staff available locally. Really annoying dealing with bookings for multiple rooms. State of the rooms was very average. Code access for everything was very frustrating.

A good quality hotel with lovely staff and a superb location.

Staff were all absolutely lovely and helpful. Restaurant there was nice and the breakfast was good value. For dinner I definitely recommend the steak. It was amazing. However the main reason to stay there is its location being 200 metres away from the Newcastle main beach and only a slightly longer walk to the Newcastle Baths, Knobby’s beach and Fort Scratchley. Also within a short walk of the hotel were many cafes and restaurants. This hotel also has a great location with respect to the Newcastle CBD.

Three main things I didn’t like: 1 - The wifi dropped out in our room more than a few times during our stay there. I lost count of the number of times I had to reconnect to it. 2 - Limited on site car parking - The hotel does have lots of it’s own car parks however there is not enough car parks for every room. We hadn’t planned on doing much driving while we were there but if it’s a busy day you might need to be back at the hotel early afternoon to secure a car park. 3 - As it’s a beach hotel with no balconies and frankly a higher price point, the rooms really could do with more places installed in the bathroom to hang up wet swimmers and beach towels so they have a chance to dry overnight before you use them again. We made do with what we had in the bathroom but more towel racks would have been better.

Lovely staff and good location within walking distance to harbour and cafes and shops.

For the standard and cost of the hotel - there was not shampoo or soap in the dispensers, when we went to the spa, the spa did not work.

We didnt stay there because it was disgusting

The fact that the manager understood why my family and I couldn't stat at this hotel, it was dirty and OVERPRICED.

The room was filthy, I was slightly horrified and had to book elsewhere.
