My wife and I stayed at the "gîte” for a week to escape the city and we were super happy with our stay! Marie and Gilles are very nice and attentive hosts, we loved the warm welcome with the local cake and wine! The position of the gîte is excellent for making daily hikes in the hills nearby - plenty of lakes to explore, lush forest, beautiful villages on the wine route, the "great war" historical sites...we will surely return, hopefully in springtime when the amazing garden will be blooming with flowers! This little place is perfect for a quiet getaway. It’s located in a small mountainous village half an hour away from Colmar. The view is absolutely breathtaking, it was the most exciting part of waking up in the morning. Marie-France’s welcoming truly warmed our hearts. She brought us a traditional Kougelhopf cake and fresh apple juice and homemade Christmas cookies the next day. She also gave us advice that came in handy while we continued our road trip to neighboring cities. The house is super clean and has everything you need. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay there and we would definitely return again. Thank you Marie-France for a wonderful experience!
