Staff was friendly
Way to expensive for what it is... For under 50€ would be ok. The building is run down (probably 80s). There are no window blinds and noise insulation. Expect to wake up at 5:30 AM (light, noise). Water pressure in shower changing constantly.

Great location, and the staff was helpful with our late arrival. They made it effortless for us, which was great.
The bed could be a bit more comfy, and maybe an extra pillow or two.

Convenient location, 15min walk to a supermarket and pizza / burger cafes. Pleasant beech forest setting. The hotel has a retro feel.
Not particularly comfortable bed or pillow. Everything is dated and has a well worn feel. Noisy plumbing. Breakfast could be better.

I just needed an overnight stay on my way from Cologne back to Berlin and happy I found Waldhotel. Location was perfect, stuff were nice, cleaned and spaced room, breakfast was fair. All in all, good value for what was given.
I had no soap to shower in the bathroom.
Otherwise, no other complaints

The quietness from the place was very impressive.
The main entrance door was not never closed. Even in the midnight, and so i was bit afraid.

super relaxed place surrounded by forest. the open balcony was a sweet bonus, and i literally lost myself in the bed. room equally spacious. very nice indeed
nothing to complain really

Excellent stop for bike touring, close to the Weser cycle path, taking a 10 min detour over the river (and a pretty steep access road) with secure cycle storage.
Large room with spacious bathroom (underfloor heating turned out to be a perfect drying room for wet/washed clothing after a rainy day).
Good buffet breakfast.
Super quiet location - all you hear with the windows open is bird song and the wind in the trees.
The hotel is a little on the outskirts, requiring a ride (or 20-30 mins walk) to the next food outlet or shopping area. Decor slightly outdated but all very comfortable.

Clean room and pleasant staff.
Old bathroom with no soap, poor light in the room… a bit disapointing.

The room was very generous in space, and the bed, large and comfortable. Everything was very clean, if a little spartan. WiFi was excellent, and there was generous desk space for laptop use. The TV was modern with good reception. The decor of the hotel might be described as dated, but if you like period features, in this case late 1960's it is a classic. In the UK it would deserve listed status. Breakfast was fairly standard, but there was no other catering available. Other food needed to be taken in the town or collected as a takeaway.
Location is out of the town and would be tricky to find without SATNAV. There are a lot of signs indicating the way to the hotel, which helps and reassures. Reception is modest and on our visit unattended for much of the time. We did receive good helpful advice when asking direction to the Kaiser Wilhelm Denkmal

The room was spacy, breakfast was good and walk with a dog was relaxing
No regrets
