Excellent staff, very friendly and polite. Very helpful with gluten free diet (thank you Rosa). Convenient location (out of Florence centre) with regular trams into the centre. Romantic setting and very peaceful.

Riva Lofts is like a little hidden oasis in Florence. We only stayed here for one night as we were passing through florence but had a great experience. The staff was super friendly and accomodating, the rooms were super fresh, modern and clean. The bathroom was very nice. The breakfast was increadible, one of the best we’ve had during our three weeks in Italy. From the interiors, to the music and the breakfast spread in itself - we didn’t miss a single thing and the lady making it was so sweet. In the common area they also had a trust system for drinks and snacks which we LOVED. We didn’t need anything so didn’t use it but it was a very nice touch and had we stayed for longer I’m sure we would’ve enjoyed a glas of wine and played some cards games or similar after a dinner in the city.
The property is a bit outside of Florence. We were recommended to take the tram 10 mins to santa maria novella but decided to walk instead. It took us about 30 mins to reach the city center and it wasn’t the nicest neighborhood to walk through. I’m sure it’s a safe area but we took a taxi back in the evening.

I liked the location out of town, but you must ride a bike to get anywhere. Taxis are too hard to get back after dinner in town, and the light rail takes you to the not so nice Centre of town next to the train station.
I liked that it had an outdoor pool with sun beds felt like you were staying at a Tuscan villa.
The restaurant food at dinner was amazing. Some of the best dishes we have eaten in five weeks however no lunch menu and a very limited dinner menu .
The rooms were tiny; we had a two bedroom just for the two of us and the beds were very uncomfortable. The second room bed was terrible. The downstairs was a tiny space with only a kitchenet which we didn't need and a table with four chairs. Bathrooms were absolutely tiny - no counter space and two pool towels for the stay. Tiny bath towels too , We kept our toiletries on the dining room table
Was challenging to get anywhere without a bike.
Staff seemed overwhelmed from what you would except from small boutique hotel.
Nothing else around for food and drink
Extremely quiet, no music or vibe at all
Breakfast very limited, and there was no bar to serve in the afternoons. Limited honesty bar so after a day out in town you would have to wait until six pm for a drink.

I love everything about this property, the villa is spectacular, the outdoor area with pool is beautiful and full of trees and makes it perfect to escape the heat. Staff is delightful and the breakfast delicious. The photos don't make justice to this peace of paradise in Florence. Just a tram away from busy city centre. I highly rate and recommend this property. Thank you.
