Location was great! Room was clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Great to have racks to hold suitcases. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Bumped my head into the low beam a couple of times. Water from the shower ran out of the shower due to no gasket on the bottom of the shower door. Wife did not take a shower during our two day stay because of this. Chairs were hard and uncomfortable.

Perfect location. Right in the middle of the city center. A plethora of restaurants and shops. Short walking distance to all 4 Christmas markets and about a 20 minute walk to Heidelberg Castle. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the room was very cute and quaint. No parking available, but there was a parking garage literally 5 minutes from the hotel. I would definitely recommend staying here!
The room was a little cold and the breakfast was definitely not worth the price, but I would hands down stay here again.

Close to all restaurants and tourist places. Interesting and quirky. The bathroom was brilliant.
Hmm - we were rather disappointed - We stayed in the New York room which was not great. The sofa bed for our son was just passable. It's listed as a 4-star hotel.... its definitely not. Photos look far better than reality

The special decor themes for rooms. Ours was Peking.
The shower place is a bit old fashion with the waterproofing plastic partly broken leaving gaps for water to leak.
No fridge and no kettle. Seems hardly be called a 4-star hotel.

Location. The room was also nicely warm.
Everything else. The hotel in not worth more than 2.5 stars. Presenting it for 4 star hotel is lying to people as it does not come even close to what one can expect from a 4 star hotel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there during a heat wave so the lack of AC was inconvenient but overall, it was a great stay. Great beer garden in back!

Excellent location with comfortable and well-sized rooms. Really liked the naming convention for the rooms, and the matching decoration. Friendly stuff.
It was too warm in the room; not sufficient AC is a general issue though. Perhaps because of the furniture, the air in the room felt stale, but keeping the window open was a decent solution.

Nice concept with cool rooms designed according to different cities. We were in room Dublin and all was lovely and authentically decorated. Our friends stayed in room Vienna and the room was also very cute. Their room was not directly at the main pedestrian road and it was more quiet and less hot. However, with the fan in our room and closed windows all was cool and silent at night.
The location is great, parking was easy in nearby public parking garage P11 (12 Euro per day, but do not park there with a huge mini-can or large SUV as car lots were designed when people had small cars). The staff was lovely and helpful and the hotel restaurant was very nice, too. One of the oldest buildings in the city I think and we can really recommend a stay in the HIP hotel!

room not well cleaned, quite dusty. lack of bar fridge a problem on warmer days.
