About this cottage rental
Nestled in Lake Willoughby, this charming cottage for $459 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Charming lakefront haven with private, shallow, kid-friendly beach, and 50' dock. Stunning sunsets, lake and mountain viewing through expansive dining/ living area windows. Classic natural woodwork throughout roomy 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath gambrel-style cottage. Fully equipped kitchen, bath with shower, spacious living/ dining area on lower level. Three roomy bedrooms and 1/2 bath on second level. Property has large open yard and is well-protected from the road. Also has Adirondack chairs, lounge chairs, gas BBQ grill, and small TV/DVD. Bed linens provided but rental guests must bring bath, kitchen and beach towels. Please honor 7 person limit to prevent septic problems and lake contamination. Bottled drinking water is recommended as house water is pumped from the lake. A canoe and 4 kayaks to explore the lake are available for use during your stay.

Although we had some very wet weather , we had a great time. We loved that the property/ fire pit etc is right near to the water so we could all be together in and out of the water. It was nice there were plenty of fans for the bedrooms as well.

Everything was as expected! Place was clean, and cozy. There was even plenty of entertainment in the cabin for the rainy days. We are already planning on going back!

Right on the most amazing lake. Bedroom view from main bedroom on 2nd floor with a full wall of windows is serene. Also, wonderful views from dinning and living area. Very comfy beds and everything you need to enjoy your stay on Lake Willoughby.

We enjoyed our stay at Nod Away. The location on the lake, set back from the road and with a vacant lot on one side was great. The cottage had everything we needed. Hearing the loons calling was a plus. Tim was a great landlord to work with.

The house is well equipped and comfortable, with three bedrooms with full or queen beds and one single bed in one, and a 3/4 bath on the first floor and a 1/2 bath on the second. The kitchen is small but ample. The sunlight through the many west, lake facing windows is wonderful, as is the view of the lake and the west shoreline. The house is right on the lakeshore, with adirondack chairs, lounges, and a hammock, along with a firepit, on the shore directly in front of the house. There is a dock to which I was able to tie up my 16 ft. boat at night, though I did have to lift the motor as it is in shallow water. The only improvement that I can imagine would be a gas fireplace, instead of the gas heater, in the fireplace in the living room, if it had the same capacity to heat the building. The only negative was an excessive cleaning fee .

We loved this rental just wished we didn’t have to haul our drinking water and maybe the kitchen could have a few more pots and pans overall it was great and we certainly would recommend it and likely to return

Kids loved having their own "beach" right outside the back door. We liked all the outdoor seating so we could watch the kids play.

Family Getaway
We had a great time kayaking, canoeing, and fishing each day. It is a beautiful location. The cottage reminds me of the camps on the coast of Maine.

I love nod away. We had such a wonderful time with my nearly 2 and nearly 5 year old girls. I am 9 months pregnant and it was heaven to sit with the girls as they played in the sand and waded in the water. I would definitely love to come back. Honestly we loved the weather in early June, too. Not too cold to splash and wade and not too hot to sleep at night.

Majestic and peaceful at the same time
I love nod away. We had such a wonderful time with my nearly 2 and nearly 5 year old girls. Great level lot, crystal clear water, close to hiking trails... A hike up nearby Mount Pisgah is not to be missed, the views are breathtaking.

Just what I was looking for
My friends and I chose Nod Away for a relaxing fall getaway by the lake and hiking. Lake Willoughby is breath taking! Tim’s cabin was rustic and extremely clean. Great fire pit as well. Tim was very accommodating and always responded quickly when I had a question. I would definitely recommend this place!

Perfect Cabin for Exploring Lake Willoughby!
Nodaway was the perfect little cabin for our stay in the Northeast Kingdom. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and sunrises from the front room and by the fire pit sitting by the lake. Having the canoe and kayaks was an added bonus and lovely way to explore the lake from a different viewpoint. The cabin had everything we needed, stocked kitchen, plenty of firewood, activities/games and reliable Wifi. Great place to check out and enjoy Vermont’s natural beauty!
