The hotel was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located near the metro station, making it easy to travel around Guangzhou. The staff were friendly and helpful during my stay. The room was well maintained, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth. I stayed at Paco Hotel Datang Metro Guangzhou for 2 nights.
The breakfast was satisfactory, and the overall value for money was good. The only area for improvement would be room soundproofing and more variety in the breakfast menu.
Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would consider staying here again on a future visit to Guangzhou.
The stay was generally good, but there were a few minor issues. The breakfast options could be more varied, especially for international travelers. Room soundproofing was not perfect. Also, the room felt a bit compact for longer stays. However, these were minor concerns and did not significantly affect my overall experience.

The room was lovely and breakfast was good
So we arrived to the hotel we was meant to stay at being closed down, no warning or nothing. We did then get relocated finally to the other branch and charged the same price as the old one. Wasn’t a very good start and should have been informed or refunded something for the hassle

I would like to start by saying that one of the main reasons I chose this hotel was the large number of positive reviews. Unfortunately, my actual experience was very different from what I expected.
The hotel is very old and clearly in need of major renovation. In its current condition, I would not even give it two stars. It feels much more like a cheap motel than a proper hotel.
Cleanliness was another disappointment. The overall condition leaves a lot to be desired. Perhaps some things simply cannot be properly cleaned anymore because of the age of the building, but the general appearance is far from satisfactory.
My room window faced another building just a few metres away, offering absolutely no view or privacy.
When I first entered the room, I noticed earplugs in the bedside table and wondered why they were provided. Later that night, I understood. Despite the windows being closed, the noise from the air-conditioning units running throughout the night was considerable and made it difficult to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep.
To be fair, the food was good, with a reasonable variety of options. The staff were also friendly and willing to help, although their limited English made communication somewhat difficult.
Overall, the positive reviews created expectations that the hotel simply failed to meet. While the food and staff were acceptable, the outdated facilities, poor overall condition, cleanliness issues, and excessive noise made my stay disappointing. I would not choose this hotel again, and I believe the ratings and reviews do not accurately reflect its current condition.
