Self service kitchen and honesty bar. Great Cider too!

The lady that handled all the things regarding the keys etc was super helpful. Whenever we wanted something, like borrowing an iron, there was no problem with that.
While the room first appeared to be clean, the bathroom wasn’t. There was mould in the shower and the sink. The shower had has seen better days too.
The kitchen situation is somewhat weird. You can pay 8 euros per person to use the produce and the kitchen to make a breakfast (or you can pay 5 to just use the kitchen, the microwave is free). Seeing as there was two of us, we would be spending 16 euros a day. We got a breakfast in a bakery in Biarritz for 17 euros, so do with that what you may. We wouldn’t mind the price if we would be getting some nice produce (possibly local, which we expected from an agrotouristic property), but the products were just packaged, somewhat stale bread and packaged deli meats and cheeses.
The 5 euros upcharge for just using the kitchen seems weird too. First time I’ve ever experienced that in a shared kitchen in a place other than a hostel.
The check in hours may seem tricky, but the hostess let us know two days in advance when she’ll be there and had no issue with us changing the hours a bit.
