A lovely apartment near amazing Noja beaches, but kitchen could be a bit better equipped

The apartment was in a great location for the nearby beaches of Noja (which are stunning - miles of soft golden sand and lovely surf, very safe for children to play in) and a stunning coastal walk with many pretty private coves on the way. It is a bit far out from the town (a good 20 min walk away) for supermarkets etc, but that was not a problem for us as we wanted beach relaxation. The apartment is set out over 3 floors with 3 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - so plenty of space for our family of 4 to spread out in their own rooms. The pool was lovely and enjoyed by our kids. Even though on first impression the fenced garden areas seemed a bit restrictive, they actually worked really well to maximise the space for each apartment, and great for those with dogs/little ones. Each apartment has a large, easy access underground parking space - free and keeping the car cool.

We had a great, relaxing stay ... but there were a few key things for us on this property that were sub-optimal (especially for the price bracket): 1) Even though we texted the owner as instructed, there was no-one there when we arrived and had to wait 20 min on side of street for someone to arrive, not ideal after a very long drive. 2) For the size of property (sleeps up to 6) the main living area is poorly equipped. We had planned to self-cater (also there are very few decent eating places in easy walking distance), only to find that there was no oven in the kitchen, just a very basic 2 ring electric hob. We couldn't cook the food we'd purchased, and had to make do with one-pot dishes / salads. I'd expect an oven as a basic kitchen essential in a property of this size / nature / location. The whole town, full of many apartments, is clearly set up for self-catering, not eating out. The seating area would also have been lacking if we were using at full occupancy - there are only 3 comfy seats in the lounge, and 4 seats around the dining table. 3) In this day and age of digital travel / payment, the Eur 200 cash deposit seemed very over the top. This was the final few days of our holiday, and wiped out all our remaining cash (admittedly I'd forgotten about this, as we'd stayed in 8 different accoms during our tour of Northern Spain). It made us feel like we weren't really trusted and I'm not sure there was anything of that value to destroy in the property. 4) Some of the neighbouring apartments were very noisy during our stay - with many visitors coming and going (some sort of family get together) and banging about until the small hours.

Las habitaciones son preciosas y el lugar en sí mismo es un remanso de paz donde se duerme genial. Se llega a la playa en 5 min y la piscina también es un plus.
