The property was perfect for two adults but would be suitable for a small famiky. The village is very small and extremely quiet but has a fantastic pub for food a short 5min uphill walk away. The property offer exceptional value for money, it’s warm and cosy, has all the things you need for a stay away from home. If you’re looking for a base to explore the lakes consider this property. It may add a little more driving to your stay but will get you out of the touristy areas for a bit of peace and quiet to recover for the next day’s adventure. It was perfect for our needs and I can’t recommend the property enough
Very little.Maybe a an extra towel rail in the bathroom and perhaps the kitchen could be modernised a little but its fully functional with gas hob and oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher and it’s easy to keep clean. The area is extremely quiet and peaceful (perfect for us) but there very little to do in the area and maybe keeping children entertained locally could prove a challenge if they need a bit more stimulation!

Wonderful riverside location in quiet village with a fabulous pub 5 minutes walk away. Very convenient for walking the Lakeland fells.
Keith and Carol, who live by the mill are very kind and helpful.

Cosy and historic at the same time. You got a sense of history with old beams and the mill cogs and wheels in the entrance way
Bathroom toilet flush was rather weak and ineffective.

The location by the stream was nice 👍
It was clean
The hosts were very friendly and helpful
As an old building beware if you are tall as the beams are not too high - the shower is a bit old and it is not a power shower for sure !
